The next day was the  1000 meters event. Lisa had been focusing on the 500 meters race for her training and the mid and long distances were only afterthoughts. Without both experience and capability, she still put up quite a formidable fight in the first half of the competition. However, in the second half, she became tired and feeble like a man unable to last even a minute.

Thus, her journey stopped at the quarterfinals.

Tzuyu was extremely capable and clinched the gold for the 1000 meters event as well. After claiming her prize wrapping up her interview, Tzuyu rushed to find Lisa. She finally said to Lisa what she had been holding in for a long time.

"Since you didn't manage to come in first, shouldn't you be barking like a dog?" After saying this, she happened to glance at Jungkook unintentionally.

Jungkook was beside Lisa. At her words, he instantly perked up and looked at Lisa with a raised brow.

Brimming with ease and confidence, Lisa put one hand on her waist and brushed her head with the other. She said, "What's so difficult about this? Woof".

Tzuyu did not expect to simply bark out like that and was momentarily at a loss for words.

Lisa, "Woof woof woof woof woof woof woof...." She even managed to bark out a tune. She bent one of her legs and tapping lightly against the ground, began to tap out the beat for herself.

Tzuyu originally wanted to make Lisa eat her words. However, she was once again defeated by Lisa's shamelessness. Her face darkened. "You lunatic".

At the side, Jungkook burst into laughter.

Tzuyu looked over.

His healthy, light red lips were raised into a beautiful curve. His good-looking eyes held ripples of amusement as it lingered on the top of Lisa's head.

"You're right", Jungkook said, "She is really a lunatic".

Tzuyu's face reddened at once. She lowered her head, turned and left without saying another words.

Just a moment ago, that fellow was still strutting about like a proud rooster. The way she suddenly turned into a humble flower made Lisa very puzzled. Stretching out her neck to look at Tzuyu's leaving figure, Lisa discovered that the back of Tzuyu's neck was a little red.

"That's odd", Lisa mumbled to herself.

Jungkook rubbed Lisa's head and ruffled her hair into a mess. Then, he said, "You've scared her off".

Lisa dodged his hand, held her head and glared at him. "Is this King's head up to you to touch as you please?"

"You can also touch mind, provided that you can reach".

Lisa was speechless. "How can you bully someone like this...."

Jungkook's lips curved and he laughed with a lowered gaze. He bought of something and asked, "When are you heading home?"

"The 28th of the twelfth lunar month. What about you?"

"So late for the speed skating team?"

"Mm" Lisa nodded. "Winter training. It's voluntary but everyone in the speed skating team has signed up....you?"

"Around the same for me. Ice hockey training. We have a competition after the New Year" Jungkook then asked for the details of Lisa's ticket home.

In the afternoon, Lisa bumped into Tzuyu in the changing room. Tzuyu had just finished changing her clothes. Here, she twisted off the cap of the water bottle tucked under her arm singlehandedly, appearing especially formidable.
