"It'll be fine" Nancy tells her trying to lighten the mood
Robin sighs as she looks out the front window again "I can't stand to see those dull eyes of Eddie's break again" she adds on "I really, really can't"
"At least he can drink himself into feeling better" Steve says holding up the six pack as he eats Pringles asking with Dustin and Lucas
"That's what my mum does" Max adds on from beside you, you purse your lips together as you pat her arm from beside her
"Why don't we give it a trail? 'Hey, Eddie. Uh, good news first this time. We got you some Dustin- approved junk food and that six-pack you requested. Oh yeah, and we found Vecna. Bad news is that he's in that other, darker, much scarier dimension, and the gate's closed, so we have no way of getting to him. He's entirely shut off to us, so basically you're screwed. And, no, I know you were already screwed, but now you're doubly, triply screwed'" Robin speaks without a breath in-between
"Maybe let's not put it like that" Nancy says driving "We're one step closer to finding Vena' That's what we say. That's what's important" Nancy tells her tapping her hand on the steering wheel as she looks forward
"See, Robin? Positive spin can make all the difference" Steve says as max side-eyes him from the middle seat
You don't speak as you look down at your hands, desperately trying to figure out what the dark pigmentation was on the tips of your fingers
The car pulls up to Ricks place to see it's full of police cars, ambulances, news reporters and people Surrounding the area
Nancy parks the car and everyone hops out, she leads then around the van watching a report happening hearing that another killing has happened on the lake and they finally release Eddie's name as the lead suspect.
"Oh, fuck" you shake your head as you whisper
"Oh, man. This is not good. This is really not good" Steve says shaking his head slowly rubbing his eyes with the palms of both his hands as he does so
