“I need to get a boyfriend.” Heeseung grunted with his face against the table.

He had just hung up with his mother, who had, very cheerfully, told him about his brother’s wedding being in a month. Realistically, he knew he didn’t need to bring a date with him, even if his mother had not so subtly told him to. But he also knew everyone in his family would be insufferable if he didn’t.

Every time it was the same, and he was tired. They would bring up how his brother was only two years older than him and getting married. They’d tell him how his brother had already gotten together with his now fiancé when he was Heeseung’s age. They’d mention how Heeseung needed to settle down already with a nice omega before they were all taken.

It annoyed and exhausted him.

He wasn’t his brother. He’ll never be his brother and he’s fine with that. He didn’t want to be his brother. It’s not like he’s against settling down with someone, but he wouldn’t do it with anyone just because everyone thought he should. He’s only 22, he had time. Except, apparently, not. At least not according to his relatives. And because he wanted to avoid suffering the whole time he’d be there, he needed to get someone to go as his date to his brother’s wedding.

He didn’t get why they all care so much, it’s like they think he’s never dated anyone in his life. He had, it wasn’t a really long list, but once again, he was only 22. He’d dated omegas and betas before, and even an alpha once, he didn’t really care much for that. He just needed to be comfortable and like that person. He needed to be interested. At the moment he was single and was not interested in anyone. And no, that one friend he kind of found extremely beautiful didn’t count. He may have a crush on him, but he was too shy to approach him out of nowhere, besides he was sure he liked another one of their friends.

“Uh, Hyung, are you okay?” Heeseung looked up to see everyone in his friend group sitting at the table he was, ready to have lunch. Jungwon sat in front of him, a little confused and concerned.

“Any reason you are lying on the table like that?” Jay sat next to him, they were holding hand but pretended no one could see.

“My brother’s wedding is in a month,” he said as Riki and Sunoo sat to his left, Jake to his right and Sunghoon in front of Jake.

“And? Congrats to him,” Sunoo commented as he started eating.

“Almost everyone in my family expects me to bring someone…”  Heeseung explained.

“Then do?” Riki was, “I’m sure one of us will be free to go with you,” he continued.

“As a date, Riki, they want me to bring a boyfriend,” Heeseung didn’t believe he had to clarify that.

“An omega, you mean…” He rolled his eyes at Jay’s comment, but couldn’t really argue. Jay understood, his parents weren’t as insistent as Heeseung, but they had their moments.

“I think they are desperate enough to accept anything at this point,” Heeseung sighed, “but yeah.”

“Well, one of us could still go with you? We could pretend?” Jungwon offered, and Heeseung didn’t think it was such a bad idea, except…

“Most of you are already dating and they’ll be able to tell… they’ll think you are cheating and I’m an idiot,” they all smelled so much like their partners they wouldn’t believe them.

“Not all of us are dating, you know,” Sunoo smiled, and Heeseung didn’t trust that smile at all, “Sunghoon-hyung is single, he could help you.”

“Right, I could help you… if you want?” Sunghoon agreed easily. Heeseung looked over at Jake who was poorly hiding how much he did not like the idea.
