"Your waiter will be right with you." We gave the hostess pleasant smiles taking our seats as he placed the menu down. A flurry of butterflie settled into my stomach as I looked up at the women sitting across from me, Lauren Jauregui.

She was looking down at her menu, eyes flickering over the different dishes. While she was doing that, I was looking her over. She was on the paler side but had a tan giving away her time spent in the sun. Her hair was long dark brown falling in soft waves.

"Have you been here before?" I was napped from my admiration by her question

"No." I cringed at the short blunt response quickly continuing "Have you?" She smiled our eyes locking. God her eyes, they were so nice and pretty. Planet green eyes was no joke

They were just so bright and vibrant standing out yet fitting her face so perfectly. I quite literally got lost in her eyes, which I thought was just some lovey dovey hallmark bullshit but here I am

"Once before I just love the view." Redirecting her gaze from me she looked out the window. I paused my swooning following her lead and looking out the window

The view really is amazing, and I'm not just talking about Lauren. The restaurant was situated on the beach overlooking the ocean. Waves crashing gently against the sand set the calm mood of the evening

"Ya it's really nice." Looking away from the ocean I directed my attention back to Lauren. Jesus she's breathtaking

Her side profile was highline by the gentle light of the restaurant. Even her side profile is amazing, which should be illegal.

"Do you know what you're getting." It took me a second to realize that she had looked back at me

"No." It wasn't said blunt like last time. I grabbed the menu and opened it, my eyes immediately went to the chicken tenders, but I figured I should try something different.

We sat in a comfortable silence as we both looked over the menu. A few minutes went by before Lauren closed her menu setting it down on the table. I copied her action setting my own menu down and looking up at Lauren.

She was sat with her hands folded over the menu a soft smile on her face her eyes settled onto me

Hot

"Hello, I'll be your waiter Chantel, can I start you off with any drinks?" Both of our attention went to the waitress, Chantel

"Yes, I'll have a glass of wine." Lauren told Chantel kindly then looked over at me

"Same." I replied dumbly once again lost in Lauren's presence. Snapping from the Lauren induced haze I corrected myself "I'll have the same please." Chantel gave us both nods

"I'll be back in just a second." We both said thanks before returning our attention to each other

I wasn't sure what to say or what to do. We continued sitting there looking at each other, you would expect it to be awkward just sitting in silence. But it wasn't the silence was comfortable, and the way she was looking at me was giving much needed confidence

I was getting ready to say something when Chantel set two glasses down on the table

"Are you guys ready to order or do you need more time." She asked. Me and Lauren looked at each other for a second both nodding slightly before turning back to Chantel

"I'll have the Salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans." She scribbled down my order before turning her attention to Lauren

"I'll have the steak with mashed potatoes and green beans." Chantel nodded scribbling Lauren's order down before walking away once again leaving us alone
