Chapter 10: Bella

MATTHEO'S POV 

For the next few days I ignore Bella. Not because I want to but because of Draco.

I'm not scared of Draco I could easily beat him up. But Bella seems very close to him. I can't help but get the feeling she has a crush on him.

I go out into the great hall and Bella is already seated but sitting besides Draco.

I sit down besides Blaise watching them. He shows her something in a book and she laughs at him. But not like her fake laugh. Like she meant it. 

"Hey Mattheo !" Pansy says.

I look over at her sitting on the other side of Blaise.

"hey...' I reply still thinking about something. Bella looks up and doesn't even give me a slight smile she just goes back to looking at the book Draco was showing her.

"Hey Bella!" Blaise says. I look at him to Bella waiting to see if she responds.

"Hello Blaise!" She says happily smiling. I can't help but get the feeling she's happier without me.

"Hello Mattheo!" Bella says looking at me before looking back at Blaise.

"so have you heard about the Yule ball?" He asks her as I just watch.

"what ball?" She asks.

"they're having a ball for the triwizard tournament thing." He says looking at dumbledore.

"when is it ?" She asks him.

"I think its either before or during the holidays" he says pausing "I'm not sure."

"When did dumbledore announce that?" She asks him.

"He didn't" he said taking a sip of his pumpkin juice "I went to his office and told me he should be making an announcement soon."

"oh..." She said closing a book she had been holding. "I'm going to the library" she says looking bat me for a quick second before exiting.

I wanted to follow her so bad but I just felt like I couldn't.

But eventually I got up after breakfast ended since it was a Saturday we didn't have any classes.

I walked over to where she was sitting with books piling on top of eachother.

"Hello" I say picking up a book still not taking a seat.

"Hi" she said still not looking up.

"so..." I say wondering if I should ask he "Will you meet me in the astronomy tower tonight?"

I ask her nervously expecting a "yes" since I thought she probably missed me too.

"no." She said simply. 

"why not?" I ask a little too fast making her look up.

"you never explained" she said placing the quill she had been holding down.

"explained what?" I ask very well knowing she was talking about the whole Draco thing.

"Draco!" She said looking a bit mad.

"oh umm right..." I said not explaining anything.

"so?"She asks me anxiously.

"so?" I ask her not wanting to answer realising how stupid all of this was.

"are you going to explain or not!?" She asked more mad than before.

The Librarian simply just looks over placing a finger up to her mouth shushing us.

"yeah but tonight the librarian is already getting upset." I say looking at the librarian.

"fine." She said also looking at her.

"Okay ill see you tonight!" I say turning on my heel and walking away.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to tell her. How to tell her the truth.
