The Familial Adventure- Chapter 7
"You're really old" Cale said earning a sigh "You're 41 now right?" "Aren't you technically 35?" "Thats not that old yet"
Ah yes the same old age conversation.
"Hey Hyung, Isn't it this year when I started to drink?"
"Yeah, But that will not happen now because I will not let you" "Why not?" "Because you're only 15" "But I'm technically 35" "Yeah and I'm 717 years old"
Kim Rok Soo replied making the other pout
"I wanna taste-" "No" "Just wine?" "No." "The weakest alcohol?" "No is my final answer."
The red-head sulked and turned his head away from him
"Aren't you 35?" "I'm 15 now"
The dragon sighed again
He really is such a weak hearted person when it comes to Cale
"When your 18." He said making the other have sparkly eyes "Anyway, let's talk about your artistic talent" "What about it?" "Want to start painting again?"
The others face darken, suddenly he pounced onto him and for this reason his clothes got wet
He heard some sniffing after
"Thank you.." he mumbled
After he calmed down they both chuckled
"Lets go buy some then?" He got a cheerful "Mmh!" And a big smile from Cale
Kim Rok Soo couldn't hide his smile
"Really Hyung, you should smile more. Only to me of course" the dragon patted his head then stood up.
They then got ready to go to the market to buy art supplies.
In the market everyone greeted them.
"Ran out of ingredients?" "No, Auntie" "Today, Hyung promised me to buy painting materials!" The old woman who sells them fruits asked them getting a different answer than she expected
"Oh! Run along then, the canvas shop will close soon. They close quite early"
They said their Thank you's then went to the store
There they met an orange headed seller
"Welcome! You're almost in time before we close! What can I get you?" Cale and Ruksoo both looked at each other then smiled "Just five A1 canvases" "I thought we are only getting three?" The other ignored him as the guy smiled
"Its my first time seeing you guys here! The shop across this one sells paint brushes, painting pallets, you name it!" "Thanks" the disguised red head replied as they got their five A1 canvases
They then walked across the street as a scarred man welcomes them in
He has a sword on his side as he greated them loudly
The two looked at each other again then smiled
As usual the human who thought they were only buying one paint brush and a pallet was shocked because his dragon companion bought one of everything from the store
Well the most good quality ones also the expensive ones.
As they went back to the lair the red head hit him softly
"Hyung, we talked about this!" "Its my money. Let me be" "It is your money, so stop using it on me!" The dragon suddenly squished his face to look at him as the others baby fat still obvious in his 15 years old body
"Listen, I brought you here. I'm the one who suggested it. So I'm buying it. Plus I have a lot of money and you only have a few, save those and let me be" The humans face which is still squished between the dragons hands nodded slowly
"Alright..But you're not allowed to look at the painting I'm doing, until I show it to you" "Deal."
Cale started setting up inside the place where the hidden World Tree is located
Inside are also the ancient powers in their past human forms
"What are you doing cutie?" Asked his mom's teenage body
As a year went by, he got used to her presence and also the fact that she calls him and his hyung 'cutie'
"I'm going to paint Mom!" "Ooh~ I know a thing or two about that" "Yeah, I got my artistic talent from you" He smiled softly at her
Suddenly he was engulfed in a hug "You are so cute! I can't believe I have a son this beautiful!" She praised him again and again as the other ancient powers know not to interupt a mother and son moment
After that, that is when the others spoke up
"Where is the dragon?" Asked the sound of the wind
"I wanna fight him!" "Not everything is about fighting you XXXXXXX fire!" "So what!" "Calm down.." "When are we eating?" "So noisyyyyyy"
And there it is. The chaos.
Good thing the Blood-Drenched Rock and Dominating Aura decided to not join.
"Hey! Cale is here to paint quietly! How is he supposed to focus if you guys are so loud!" After the talk from the Mother everyone said sorry and stayed as quietly as they can
Of course it cannot be kept as a raging Kim Rok Soo walked in after an explosion from a fighting Cheapskate and Crazy kid, The Rock trying to stop it and Glutton asking him whats for dinner.
While the others watch the fight silently not wanting to budge in a mad dragon which is soon after joined by a mad mom and another mad red-head who almost kicked all of them out for ruining his inspiration.
In the end the ancient powers all fell asleep leaning on the tree.
"I'm going to cook dinner now. I'll call you when its ready" he nodded and continued painting after finding a new idea.
He paints the whole time without breaks for two whole hours
The food was by then ready (it was ready since earlier but Kim Rok Soo did not want to disturb a super focused Cale painting so he just let him be and called him after he didn't hear the paint brush gliding throught the canvas)
"Dinner has been ready. I'll just heat it up. Please wake them up for me" "Yes, Hyung" he answered with a tired voice
Since it wasn't dry yet he hid it on a side and woke the ancient powers who act like children up to eat.
After that he called all of them back to reveal the results.
He flipped the canvas and there it is.
The painting of asleep powers under the World Tree itself.
It showed the beauty of the tree, the lucious place and the softness of the sleeping figures
It conveys wholesomeness and exhibits the lovely atmosphere around.
Overall it was a breathtaking painting.
"I know its not perfect since I needed to restart quite a lot of times and the random smudges- why are you guys crying?" suddenly the featured powers on the portrait teared up
"Its so amazing, what are you even saying!" "We need to frame it!" "You're such a liar, Cutie!" "Buy a frame nowww" "It can be placed here" "That spot will be good" "That is so XXXXXXX magnificent!" "Its so XXXXXXX pretty what are you talking about!" "Its perfect" "It needs to be in a museum"
Even the quiet ones spoke up as the dragon nodded
"They're right. I'm gonna buy a frame quickly, lets place all the paintings here" They all agreed not giving the painter a chance to speak up
His face blushing from all the compliments he is getting.
Ah yes, another amazing day pasts by as they got closer.
It wouldn't be a night without cuddles right?
So that night Cale hugged Kim Rok Soo to sleep tightly as gratitude for all the things he have done for him.
He is so happy for everything he received and he will cherish all of it.
Meanwhile the three Gods who is always in every chapter is crying in joy
"I need to save this to the most favorite pile" "Also on the wholesome one" "Must rewatch again" They all did that
It was a great episode.
Someone is shaking.
Why is someone trying to summon them? No way, he will definitely not go againts those ancient stronger gods for a reincarnator.
Nope, he will die instantly if he even thought of it.
Another day as the despair piles up.
He is cowardly but at least for the right reason. Unlike some father out there.
Oh no, he is getting affected.
The seals are now the most secure ones he can make.
He can't fall down that lane, never.
