Season of Spring

PROLOGUE

"Totoo bang nahuli yung pinsan mo?" One of my co-worker ask. Kakapasok niya lang sa office ko.

"What? Who?" Umangat ako. 

My eyes were focused in my ipad, checking my patients charts. 

"Si Drevon Montreal. I heard he raped someone." Napatigil ako sa pag scroll sa ipad ko. Lumipat ang tingin ko sa kaniya at bumalik din sa ipad. 

Sino kaya ang victim niya? 

I cut all my connections from him, After i got my license as a Doctor. Hindi rin ako suma sama tuwing umuuwi sila Kuya sa mansion. I had to excuse myself every Christmas. 

"Tomorrow is the first trial sa court, i thought you knew it already." pagpapatuloy niya. "Gwapo nga, rapist naman." 

She clunk her tounge, binaba ko ang salamin ko at tumingin sa phone ng mag send ng photo sakin si Pearl. It was a selfie of her and her background is the airplane she flight.

I smiled. She land safely. I typed. 'Onsang Hostpital Care,"

"Doc," tumingin ako sa kaniya. Uminom siya ng tubig bago nagsalita. "Una na ako Dra. Echizen." 

Tumango ako at ngumiti, binaba niya ng kunti ang ulo niya at lumabas saka sinarado ang pinto. Tumikhim ako at tumayo, kinuha ang naka cup kong kape, lumabas ako ng opisina ko at Hindi pa ako nakakalagad ng malayo ng maramdaman ang tingin nila. 

Well Echizen family, our family is one of the most wealthy known and successful families kaya malaking impak talaga ang dungis sa pangalan namin kapag nagkaroon ng ganito. 

This is the second time na lumabas ang isang issues from our Family. Wala talagang hiya si Drevon. All his do was to damage our names. Wala siyang trabaho at nag susugal lang, that was my brother said. 

Dumaan ako sa coffee shop ni Steve doon na din ako nakipagkita kay Pearl. 

"Pearl!" I called her when i saw her coming all the way, she giggled and wave, she run as she opened her arms at niyakap ako ng mahigpit. 

"Akala ko hindi ka na babalik dito." She chuckle. 

Napangiti ako. "Hindi naman ako permenente dito, i just have to finish my mission." 

Bago siya kumalas sa pagkakayakap sakin, she hugged me tight and let me go. We didn't see each other at napaka hirap mag add ng isa pa sa schedule ko. 

Nilhad ko ang upuan, ngumiti siya at tinuro turo ako. 

"May balita ako sayo! Super super important news!" She grin. Steve approached us to take our order. 

"Hi ladies! Hi dra. Echizen." He smile at me. I smile wide and sit down. 

Pearl arch a brow look at me and Steve pabalik-balik. 

"Do you know each other?" She ask. I nodded. Steve smile and said, "we're friends, i met her here." 

I rolled my eyes. Ofcourse this is the place that i know that near in my work, kaunti lang din ang mga taong pumupunta dito ang iba ay mga ka workers ko. 

Lumahad ng kamay si Pearl kay Steve. "I'm Pia just call me baby." 

Steve accepted her hand and laughed. "Miss Pearl." 

She cough. "Yes Mr. Steve?" Then laugh. 

Siraulo. Napailing iling na lang ako sa kanilang dalawa, Nagtatawanan sila at biruan. Nagsama nga naman ang mga siraulo.
