In 1971, Pete Docter, head of Disney Cartoon Studios, is concerned about the recent poor performances of one of Walt Disney's second biggest stars, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Mickey's older brother. Pete hires Mickey to investigate rumors about Oswald's attractive Disney character wife Ortensia being romantically involved with businessman Roy Disney, owner of Disney World and Walt Disney's brother. After watching Ortensia perform at an underground nightclub, Micky secretly photographs her and Roy playing patty-cake in her dressing room, which he shows to Oswald. Oswald angrily declares that he and his wife will be happy, and he flees.
