-- Inside Josie's mind, with Josie -------------------------------

What did it mean to be a hero, in the first place ? Be brave, and bold.. ? Be strong, confident, and persistent ? Be patient, strong, and fearless.. ? Maybe for some people. Meanwhile for others, like Josie on her own, being a hero meant being scared, feeling all those emotions, but.. Controlling them, and using in the right way.. Being a hero didn't mean you had to be a confident machine without human emotions, but a person with sympathy, and strength to do what's right, even if it meant sacrificing your own self to save others. Sometimes doing the right thing was scary.. Sometimes the outcomes of our decision, that we thought was good at first, was terrifying at the end, and we just wished to go back. Sometimes being a hero meant doing the worst thing, that would be the greatest for the others.. And, that exactly was what Josie admired about Hope. How persistent she could be, and never show her real emotions.. How tough it was for her to be a leader, a hero, and she's never really showed it. Watching her from afar seemed like it was something, that came easy to her, like she was born with it, but.. Knowing now from Josie's own experience, she knew how Hope must've felt dealing with all those monsters usually by herself.. It seemed like an easy thing to do, but the reality was far different, than from Josie's always imagined it to be. But, though the situation, that she was now in was really bad, she knew she had to bring the end to it.. Now was the time to play the hero of the story, and do everything in her power, to defeat the evil. Just like Hope would do.. Like she always did, whenever a monster decided to visit their School. It was the time to channel her inner Hope Mikaelson, and play her part.. Maybe it wouldn't be the easiest job to do, but Josie knew well she couldn't let the minotaur stay there with her. Not, when she has come so far, that she couldn't back down, or go back.. It was the time for her final moves, if she wished to survive. If she wished to ever leave her mind, and see Lizzie, her dad, Hope, and everyone else again.. So, for her own self, as well as for others, Josie took a deep breath, and looked at the minotaur confidently, despite the pain circling in her stomach:

- You really shouldn't have done that, girl.. - the minotaur said, walking closely to her.

- Well.. I guess sometimes I should think before I do anything, but this time the urge of getting in trouble was far stronger, than being cautious, and responsible - Josie answered, backing down a little, gaining time to get her strength back.

- And, that was your last mistake - the minotaur replied, and started running into her direction.

Fight, avoid, or run - the only decisions, that Josie could make in that short moment. If she decided to fight, she'd have to raise her sword, that on which she was supporting herself, and with the last parts of her strength she'd have to attack the minotaur with the swift move, but it didn't seem rational to her.. She needed more time to regain her powers, and a common mind, along with a quick plan. Fighting wasn't an option now, and either way if she wished to make the final move, she had to firstly outsmart the minotaur, so she'd have a good position, and enough time to defeat him.. Avoiding the attack, that would come to her within few seconds could work, but all the minotaur would have to do next, would be to turn around, and try to hit her again, and again. Avoiding his attacks would come in handy later, but for now she couldn't just stay in one place, and try to survive.. So, running it was. Her only choice, that made sense, and could help her come out of this whole situation alive.. Plus, it would give her enough time to think about what to do next, and how to fool the minotaur, in order to make him disappear from her mind. So, in the last moment possible, Josie with all her strength, and a sword in her hand, started running in the opposite direction, away from the minotaur, hoping it would help her somehow.. She didn't have her powers in here, only her vivid imagination. It was her own labyrinth, that the minotaur happened to find himself in, so she had the upper hand, on what could be allowed in there.. On what she could, and couldn't possibly have. And, that was giving her a major advantage..:
