YAAAY!! Yes! I made it! The long awaited tutorial is here. I mostly draw dragons and cats from WoF and WC, but as I learn new things I'll put new stuff in here. Requests are always open but it might take awhile to get to them :)
(cover art not mine)
Yeah, yeah, I said I'd do dragons next, but this is what I have now. (I will be using dragons as examples though)
I just wanted to talk a little about how I taught myself how to draw because I think it will really help you all learn too. I always liked learning to draw by looking at other art rather than watching a tutorial. You'll notice that I give lots of tips and tricks in my tutorials but hardly any step-by-step-tada-there's-a-cat instructions.
I search on Google "Warrior cats fan art" or "Wings of fire fan art" or just art in general and scroll.

Find art in a similar style that you want and study it. What do you like about this art? Find it and try it in your own!
I taught myself almost everything I know about drawing from trial and error and experimentation. I draw every day and I draw something different every day and every day I learn something new. I'll show some examples.

This piece itself was greatly inspired by LamP0st's series of speedpaints of Blister, Blaze and Burn. You can also see I implemented a lot of aspects from their style into my own and in future art you see that some of them I kept and some I didn't.

I mimicked the style of the ears and eyes most notably.
And LamP0st isn't the only artist I've been inspired by! Biohazardia, BluJae, Cyprus, Green Dragon Vigil, Frozen Jem, and RippleXD are just a few of my favourite artists I've learned from.
What I'm trying to say is, there are tips and tricks you can learn and use, but in the end, you know you're doing art "correctly" if you're having fun. Because that's what really matters.
