"O.M.G. I'm the hugest fan of your work!" James gasped, clapping his hands together like an elated child.

Mel had called me saying that she and James wanted to hang out at the park with Marcus and me.

It was really for James to meet my brother who he idolized for some reason.

We were currently strolling through the park, corn dogs in hand, trying our best to avoid the overactive exercisers.

If I heard the words, 'on your left' one more time, I would strangle that jogger with their sneaker laces.

Who exercises on a Sunday?

Seriously.

Maybe my hatred for physically fit persons wasn't called for but I didn't particularly care.

"Did he just say O.M.G.?" I asked with a snicker, turning to face Mel who was rolling her eyes.

"Did you hear how he proposed to me? No O.M.G.s were in sight! I'm almost certain that he loves your brother more than me," she joked.

"Stop being silly Mel," James muttered, still starstruck from meeting Marcus.

"Sorry babe, we were just ki-"

"How amazing is the feeling of finishing a statement of financial position and the debit side is equal to the credit side!" James interrupted enthusiastically to Marcus who was nodding and grinning in agreement.

Mel glared at him but he was so enamored with my brother that he didn't even realize it.

"It's the best! It's so great to finally meet someone who loves assets and liabilities as much as I do!" Marcus replied with a dreamy sigh.

"Ditto!"

I understood about one percent of whatever they just said.

"I actually have a bank reconciliation I need to look over in my car, wanna try your method on it?" James inquired avidly.

"Do I?" My brother squealed as they ran to Mel's car, probably burning a few calories on the way.

Mel and I giggled at how excited they were about ledgers and invoices.

"I think they forget that they came with us," I laughed.

"Facts," she chuckled.

"Now that the girls are gone, what the hell am I gonna do when you move out?"

Mel was silent for a while as if she was trying to figure out what to say.

"I have no idea honestly, but we have time, you'll find someone," Mel said with a sad smile.

"I wouldn't abruptly leave you on your own because I've been paying half the rent all this time and it would be cruel to suddenly put all that on you."

I nodded in agreement.

She was right.

I couldn't afford our place on my own, I would have to find a roommate.

"How am I ever going to live without you, Mel?" I sniffed theatrically.

"Trust me, you'll manage."

"I'll need a new roommate."

"I know, she won't be as awesome as I am though."

"Believe me, I know."

"I'm gonna miss you so much and now I'll have to live with a boy, forever," she shivered.

Goodbye clean bathroom, hello doo-doo marks in the toilet.

I was almost sorry for her but she was going to be living with the love of her life so the good definitely outweighed the bad.
