Prologue

So guys, I guess this is happening. I honestly don't know what to do anymore.  Everything that happened from TPOT 1 and before is canon is this story. So basically, this is if TPOT deviated from a normal contestant show to a killing game. TPOT 2 and beyond doesn't exist in this alternate universe, although some characters may go through similar development until the recent episode.

I created this book because my first fandom I joined was Battle for Dream Island and I'm currently in the Danganronpa fandom so I decided it would be fun to mix them up.

A warning this story will contain murder, gore, and language. (Other stuff too but I'll keep updating this as this story progresses as well as add warnings for chapters applicable.)

See next page for more.

Edit as of 9/9/2024: I have been working on the prologue rewrite for over a month. I have realized how much I messed up the story by rushing though it. I have added some scenes for more screen time with some characters and added some stuff just so the entire story makes more sense. It's a pretty long prologue, but I hope it shows and sets up conflicts better as long with showing some mystery.

Yes, this means that the prologue is now officially over 13k+ words instead of 4.4k. Hope you like the longer version now (?)

Prologue: The Reality of our Choices

I remember when we all swapped to Two's show, we thought it would be a normal show. It wasn't strange to us to join a competition because the host promised a desirable prize. Maybe it was because we desired limitless power over a BFDI. I know I did.

Maybe it was because we were sick of Four. Sick of them always screeching at us and more.

I thought this would be a normal competition like always, just under a different host. All the seasons have been bizarre. What's new? I let my guard down.

Two even let us pick out our team names and announced the first challenge, which seemed poorly planned. Made up on the spot even. This speculation was further proven when Two forgot to announce some rules. All of us ended up being a bit upset with how unprepared Two was.

And of course, the infamous part where we all teamed up to beat Two.

No one knew it would be our last challenge we would do, all together.

No one knew that it would be our last time to talk with some of our friends.

But now, I'm scared.

Scared of what's coming next.

I'm scared to face the consequences of my decisions.

The reality of my choices.

I don't even remember how I got here, or the last memory before I got here.

I remember our last normal challenge, and then everything is a blur from there.

The next thing I knew, I was waking up in this unfamiliar room. I don't even have any memory of how I got here. I tried to remember how I got here but eventually nothing appeared.

I looked around to see... a laundromat? Why am I even here in the first place? I dashed towards the door and swung it open. Is this just a prank? I needed to know the answers and what happened.

Instead of being outside like I expected, I came across a hallway. I was so confused. Nothing made sense. From the looks of the hallway, it looks like it could be a hotel, school or even a retirement home but it's neither of those things. Maybe it's just a building made for us, but who could construct all of that? After trudging through the halls, I encountered someone in the hallway. I ran up to them. I could care less about their motives and who they are. I needed my answers. As the figure got closer, they were someone I recognized.
