"If we can find a bus we could get there in two days" Hawthorn said as we walked down the shreets
"What about a plane?" I asked
"No, we never travel by plane when taking half-bloods to camp" Hawthorn said
"Why not, it faster isn't it?" I asked
"Oh it's faster, but not in the way your thinking" Hawthorn said
"Why do you mean?" I asked
"Traveling by plane would mean flying in the sky and this ruled by Zeus so we avoid it at all cost because if Zeus dosen't like the half-blood we are helping get to camp then down gose the plane and everyone in it" Hawthorn said
"A bus does sound a lot better now" I said
"And that's why we're taking one" Hawthorn said
"So....If I'm a half-blood" I started to say but Hawthorn seemed to know what I was going to say and cut me off
"Sorry kid, I don't know who your father is execpt that it's not one of the big three" Hawthorn said
"Who are the big three?" I asked
"Zeus, Posedion and Hades" Hawthorn said
"And how do you know one of theem isn't my dad?" I asked
"Because you would smell a lot stronger. children of the big three are also rare, there's only been one in the last sixty to seventy years that we know of and she...well she didn't make it" Hawthorn said
"how old was she?" I asked
"Around sixteen, most half-blood..how do I stay this? have there lives go crazy around 12 that's when their senect get strong enough for monsters to really smell them so I was a little surprised when you were attacked" Hawthorn said
"Why did I start early?" I asked
"I don't know, some half-blood just do" Hawthorn said as we walked up to the bus stop.
"I'm going to go find out when the next bus leave, stay here and don't talk to anyone" Hawthorn said before he walked off.
I sat down on one of the benches and placed my chin on my hand then started to drum my fingers on my cheek after a few moment my leg started to shake and I started to get anxious so I began to look around for something to do and saw a pay phone.
I looked around to see if Hawthorn was watching then I slowly walked over to it as the pain in my feet grow but I needed to call my mom, I needed to hear her voice and let her know I was okay.
I pulled the phone off the hook and placed it to my ear before I remembered I needed money to call so I place the phone back and took a deep breath to hold back my tears.
"Did you need money to call some one?" A Girl asked as she walked up to me with her friend. both girls looked like they were freashmens in high school and they were both very beautiful so they were most like one of the populr kids in school
"Who are you trying to call?" The Girl's frined asked
"Um...My mom" I said quitely not sure if I should trust them.
"Well here take those" The Frist girl said as she handed me four quarters
"T-Thank you" I said
"It's not a problem" The fisrt girl said
"We're happy to help" The second girl said
I turned and took the phone off the hook again and placed it to my ear as I put a quarter in and put in my mothers number.
after only one ring she picked up
"Have you found him? is he alright?" Mom asked frantically the panick clear in her voice
"Hi mom" I said choking up a little
"Will! are you okay? where are you? the news said that your school was hit by a tonarto" Mom said
"I'm-I'm fine, it's so good to hear your voice" I said now crying
"Will? baby? what's wrong?" Mom asked seeming to panick more.
"Your going to think I'm crazy" I said
"I would never think that" Mom said
"The school wasn't hit by a tornato, the principle turned into a large man with one eye and..and he..he wanted to eat me....a strange man came and saved me..but..but he said I can't come home......I...I want to go home" I said as I sobbed
"Will, I need you to calm down. tell me more about this man" Mom said
"You don't think I'm crazy?" I asked
"No, I told you I won't. now plasese tell me want this man told you" Mom said
"He told me that the principle was a cylops and that he's a satyr, his name is Hawthorn" I said
"Did he tell you anything else?" Mom asked
"He said that I'm a half-blood and that I need to go to a camp to be safe but I don't want to leave you" I said
"I know, I don'r want you to go but you need to need to do as he says" Mom said
"But-" I started to say before mom cut me off.
"Will, I love you more then anything else in this world and it would destroy me if I knew that something happened to you" Mom said and I could tell by her voice that she was now crying as much as I was.
"I-I love you too mom" I said
"Be safe-" Mom started to say before phone call ended and it was then that I noticed the heat coming from behind me growing hotter. when I had felt in on the phone call I thought it was just the sun but now I know that wasn't it because the sun dosen't get closer.
I turned and saw the two girl's who had helped me now had fire for their hair and white skin with glowing red eyes, on their backs they had wings and one of their feet was an odd kind of metal while the other looked like that of a donkey and as they walked closer and the heat from their hair grow they opened their mouths to show fangs like that of a vampire
