We walked back to the building and as we did Hawthorn kept looking back at the greenhouse with nothing but sadness on his face

"Did you find everything ok?"  Gale asked with a smile as we walked in.

"We actually have a question for you" Hawthorn said

"I'm happy to answer any and all of your questions" Gale said

"Why do you have your greenhouse all locked up?" Hawthorn asked and gale's eyes went wide with a look of fear.

"That place is haunted" Gale said

"Haunted?" Cecil asked with a raised eyebrow

"Don't look at me like I'm crazy kid, that greenhouse is very much haunted" Gale said

"How is it haunted?" I asked

"Look if you are going to stand there and make fun of me then you can leave" Gale said in a firm voice

"We're not trying to make fun of you, we truly want to know" Hawthorn said

Gale gave us a look like he didn't quite believe us but then he let out a long sigh

"It all started about two and weeks ago." Gale said before he let out another sigh

"Come" Gale said and he waved us to follow before he turned and walked away.

Cecil looked up at Hawthorn and put both hands up to his mouth, his fist closed with his pointer fingers pointing down like fang as a way to ask him if Gale was a monster but Hawthorn shook his head and started to follow Gale so me and Cecil followed him.

we followed Gale as he walked to a door and opened it to a living room.

The living had cream walls with white trim at the bottom and on the top. on the windows, there were brown blinds with off-gray curtains. the floor was an oak hardwood and was a dark grak diamond patterned carpet under a cedar coffee table that had books and magazines thrown about on it. there was a white couch and love seat that had dark blue throw pillows with the same diamond pattern as the carpet and then there was a brown armchair with a white pillow and a smaller blue pillow and thrown over the back was a white and blue striped blanket.

"Have a seat" Gale said as he seat down on the brown armchair and me and Cecil seat on the couch while Hawthorn seat on the love seat.

"So you said your haunting started two weeks ago?" Hawthorn asked

"Yes. I had just gotten about 5 new plants that I had found out in the wilderness. a dicentra or as some call a bleeding heart, a pink astilbe, a hostas, an echinacea, or as some call it a coneflower and a willow oak seedling. I replanted them in pots and brought them back here and put them in the greenhouse and for the first three days things seemed fine, but then I started to see things late at night" Gale said

"What kind of thing did you see?" I asked

"I started to see a young girl as while as women in the greenhouse from the house but every time I went out to look no one would be there. then things started to move around, I would wake up and walk outside to find some of the plants from the greenhouse had moved outside the greenhouse and I would have to move them back. after about four days of this so a week in whole since I had brought the plants home, I walked out to the greenhouse to water the plants and something hit me on the back of my head and I fell to the ground and lost consciousness. when I woke all five of the plants were outside the fence and I could have sworn I saw women standing next to them and I rubbed my eyes think I was just seeing things and then they were gone and that was when I took them all back into the greenhouse and locked it up." Gale said

"So, they've been locked up for a week?" Hawthorn asked with a horrified look on his face.

"Yes, and I hope they all wither and die" Gale said

"How about we take them off your hands?" Hawthorn asked but Gale shook his head

"No, I'll not let anyone have to deal with these demon plants" Gale said

"But-" Hawthorn started to say but Gale cut him off

"I said no." Gale said before looking at his watch

"Now, you will all have to be on your way so that I can close up" Gale said before he escorted us out of the house.

"What do we do now?" I asked

"We could sneak in once the sun goes down" Cecil said

"I don't usually like breaking into peoples houses but I can't just let him kill those dryads" Hawthorn said
