CHAPTER TWELVE- A POSER
Lila hadn't slept in the same bed with Bucky for two weeks. He hadn't even tried to come and talk to her, but Natasha did. Lila explained how she appreciated the apology, but it's going to take a while for it to be forgiven. Lila had slept with Wanda for the past two weeks, and Sam had made an effort to take her out to breakfasts for a couple of days.
Whilst she appreciated all of the love, the one she missed most was her boyfriend. She hadn't even been in the same room as him for two weeks, which should be a world record since they can never take their hands off of each other. At night, Lila dreams of Bucky, some funny, some romantic, some sad, but all of which made her feel empty. She missed him.
Don't get her wrong, she still hates his guts. But you can never properly hate someone when you are in love with them. If he asked for make up sex, she would take it in a heartbeat. But still, yeah yeah, that's not a proper way to resolve an argument.
It was a normal cold Norwegian morning, and Lila was emptying the dishwasher. It was like a maze finding herself around the kitchen, since there was so many different drawers and cupboards it made it increasingly difficult to find places to put things. Often, Sam would make her a coffee every morning since Bucky wasn't around to do it anymore. Sam would always say how she should go and make conversation with Bucky, but she's adamant on waiting for him to make the first move.
Although Natasha had apologised, Lila still couldn't help but wonder if there has been any point in her and Bucky's relationship where something has happened whilst she wasn't there. It's not like she expects Bucky to cheat, but her mind was in so many different places she was thinking anything.
Just as she was about to close the dishwasher, Bucky appeared in the doorway. He obviously didn't intend to bump into Lila, because as soon as they made eye contact he retreated back to where he came from.
"Why are you such a coward, Barnes?" Lila called out after him, watching him walk down the corridor. "Why is it so hard for you to do the bare minimum?"
He ignored her, and swiftly walked into their bedroom. She decided to follow him into the room, slamming the door behind her.
"Don't fucking ignore me."
Bucky got up from the edge of the bed and stood opposite Lila, with his hands either side of her. "Look. I'm sorry. You know I'm sorry, Lila! Fuck, if I could've told you earlier I would've. And I'm so fucking sorry, okay?"
"Yeah yeah, why don't you go hook up with Natasha while we're on a break!" She cried.
"On a break?" He yelled in response. "I don't know what else I can fucking do, Lila!"
Lila rolled her eyes. "Why are you always so fucking stubborn? All I want is an apology, then we can go back to being normal!"
