Your pov

"Jaeger-Kun could you please get me a refill?" I heard a random customer ask

I responded with a smile, "Coming right up, miss"

I went to the fridge to get a cold beverage. I walked toward her table as I pour her drink she says

"Has anyone told you that your quite a cutie"

"Thanks miss!" I responded happily

"Say how about when your older you come work for me at my house" she said with a flirty attitude

My mom than came and said, "I'm sorry, but you see my son here wants to be a Hashira some day"

"Oh? Is that so?" She asked

"Mhm" I nodded my head with excitement

"Well then you go and protect us from those bad demons" she said as she pinched my cheeks

Bad demons huh. What exactly defines a bad demon. Personally I don't believe in good and bad. However many believe there was no such thing as a good demon. Humans often assume if something is opposing them or pose as a threat to them, then that thing will always be bad. That's the mindset of a typical human. If that were the case we to are bad, we pose a threat to living wildlife, we kill animals to eat. Just like demons, we live in this world to survive...

"Y/N-kun!! Help me clean up, we are closing up" my mom said to me

I snapped out of my train of thought, "yes, mother!" I quickly cleaned up the dishes and after 20 minutes we had finished

Just then my father came back. He was drunk as ever, I didn't see my father often. He would either be at work or be at a Oiran house. I never was really close to my father, because he was either gone or drunk, in fact I very much disliked him. Due to how he treated my mother and I

"Hey Y/N, get me another bottle" my father said

I sighed and then said, " but father.. you shouldn't drink anymore"

"Just do it!" He yelled

This caused me to tense up, so I did as I was told and went to get the bottle. As I went back to bring it to him. I trip on the rug causing me to fall and the bottle to break. My father heard this

"What do you think your doing?! That was the last bottle we had! You know how much money that cost us! We can't afford another bottle until next month!" He yelled

".. I'm sorry father.. " I quietly said

"Oh you will be boy. Cause we will be using your allowance and I'll be sending you out to get a new bottle tonight!" He said

"But father I been saving up to get something and I can't go out, it's too dark" I said desperately

"Grisha please stop this" my mother said

"Shut up, Carla, you will learn your lesson boy" he said

"Grisha! That's enough!" My mother demanded

My father got angry and hit her, "You dare raise your voice at me Carla! After I'm done with him I'll deal with..."

I ran toward him yelling, "Stop! Don't you dare touch mother!!"

He kicked me off like I was a fly. Then he shoved me to the floor. Left the room, after a while he came back with my allowance. Dropped it on the floor and said, "You will do as you are told boy, am I clear?" With a cold tone

"Y-yes father!" I quietly said

"Good now go!" He said

I quickly picked up the money and left the house. I was angry and upset, how could father treat us like that after everything we done for him. Not paying attention to my surroundings I had accidentally bumped into someone

Daki pov

I was roaming the streets per usual looking for my next meal. When I suddenly felt someone bump into me

"Hey what you think-" I then stopped seeing as it was a cute boy who had bumped into me

He then quickly bowed and said, "I'm so sorry ma'am!"

I didn't say anything curious as to why he was out here this late.

He then quickly realized who I was, "I'm sorry Miss. Oiran, if there's anything I could do to make it up-"

I cut him off and asked, "You know who I am?"

"Why, yes, you see my father.. he um has pictures of you. And you are ummm v-very pretty so" he shyly said

He was to cute, seeing him stutter like that and hearing his compliments I couldn't help but blush. I then said, "It's okay, that won't be necessary. However, what are you doing out here late at night"

"Um I'm doing an errand" he said

An errand hm, I was further intrigued, "Don't you know there's demons and they could eat you" I said trying to scare him

"Tbh it wouldn't matter if I die" he said

His response caught me off guard I had expected him to be scared but it was quite the opposite. Wanting to know more i decided to hold off on my meal tonight and I said, "How about you come to my place. It's not to far and it's to dangerous for someone like you to be out here this late"

"Um thank you very much miss" he said as he bowed

I smiled at him and showed him to my home

Your pov

I was nervous, this would be the first time I would be going into a Oiran's house. In fact my first time being in one's presence

"Here's where you'll be staying" she said showing me a room

"Ehh! Staying?!" I said shock at what she said

"Was I not clear, I said it was to dangerous out there" she said

I started to get nervous, "But my father.. he expects me to be back tonight"

"Don't worry about your father. I'll deal with him" she said with a smile

Not only did that smile reassured me but it gave me butterflies and this strange feeling I haven't felt

I got excited and without thinking I ran up to her and hugged her, "Thank you so much"

Tonight will mark the first night that I wouldn't be sleeping on the floor and not having to deal with my father.

"-oh!?" She said shocked of my behavior

I quickly realized and walked back saying, "Sorry"

"Oh, no it's ok, you just caught me off guard" she said

She then went to the bed and sat down. She patted the spot next to her and said, "Come, tell me everything"

This made me confused, "What do you mean?"

"Adorable, you think I don't I realize. Your clothes, your hygiene, everything on what I see. I can tell your a peasant" she said

That had made me sad, it's true I am a peasant but I never asked to be one

Realizing what she had said she quickly said, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it like that, I just wanted to hear your problems"

This had perked me up and as I headed toward the spot I asked, "Are you sure because it's quite the long story"

"I have all the time in the world, sweetie" she said with a smile

I now realized what that smile gave me.For the first time in my life. I had finally felt comfort and love, something I wanted my whole life.
