"Strangers waitin' up and down the boulevard. Their shadows searchin' in the night. Streetlights, people livin' just to find emotion. Hidin', somewhere in the night."

Letting my feet slide across the kitchen floor, I held the end of my spatula up to my mouth like a mic, belting out the lyrics as loud as I possibly could. I probably looked like an idiot, but who the fuck cares? I haven't had this much energy in almost eight months, who the hell was I to waste it?

It had been over a week since the charity fundraiser, and Scarlett had come through on her promise to call and talk over the details of everything. Eventually we'd made plans to meet up today and discuss what exactly she was looking for in terms of her new album. Hence why I was currently sliding around my kitchen in my bare socks, waiting for our designated meeting time to come around.

When my notification went off, I quickly gathered my things and slipped on a pair of shoes, making sure everything was turned off before leaving the apartment and slipping my sunglasses over my nose. We'd agreed to meet at a little coffee shop just down the road from my apartment, a place I was a regular at.

Arriving at the rather busy cafe, I caught sight of the blonde seated at a table for two near the back, waving. As soon as I sat down, I pushed my sunglasses to the top of my head, smiling up at the waiter that suddenly appeared. "Can I get a black coffee with three sugars, please?"

Once my order was placed, I turned my attention towards the actress, laughing at the disgusted look on her face. "Still think my coffee order is disgusting?"

"How can anyone not like creamer or even milk in their coffee?"

I shrugged, thanking the waitress as she placed my to-go cup down in front of me, making sure to keep eye contact with the blonde as I took a large sip. "I'm just weird, I guess."

After receiving an eye-roll from Scarlett, she launched into the conversation about her new album, giving me a rough idea of the style she was going for and a few ideas for songs she'd already come up with. It didn't sound half bad, honestly. There was a lot of potential in it, and I could feel myself practically vibrating with excitement as I sat and listened to her.

"So what do you think?"

Taking another sip of my coffee, I smiled. "I like it. The style and sound's gonna go perfectly with your voice. I'm in."

Watching the actress fist pump the air, I laughed, downing the rest of my drink in one gulp, watching as Scarlett scribbled something down onto a sheet of paper. "Fuck yes! I'm going to be writing most of the songs at home, but here's the address of the studio that's producing the album in case we ever need to meet there."

Glancing down at the written address I nodded, seeing that it wasn't that far away from the studio the band recorded at. "Awesome. Is Larry producing it? This is his studio."

"Yeah, he's been going after me for years to let him produce my next album if I ever decided to do one. He's worked with us at Marvel before, too on sound design."

"Speaking of Marvel..."

Scarlett smirked, shaking her head. "You're such a nerd."

"How can I not be?! I mean I'm friends with the Black Widow. I was watching you in Marvel movies when I was fourteen. And you died in Endgame! I was crushed! Do you not remember me calling you a few months ago in tears? I need to know what the future holds for Natasha Romanoff. She's one of my favorite characters."

The blonde scoffed, holding a hand against her chest. "Just one of your favorites? Not the favorite? Now I'm the one crushed."

Rolling my eyes, I ignored the older woman's remarks. "You were my favorite, up until Age of Ultron."
