Chapter 17: Azkaban

Same night -

  I lye there minutes passing and I kinda worry, what will happen to Mattheo? I mean he did just kill someone but, he killed someone for me.(I just thought of the perfect song to add to this chapter)

What if he's expelled? What if tonight is the last night I see him. What if he's sent to Azkaban. What if Ms. Potter? Wait what?

"ms. Potter." I hear a familiar voice say, I turn around Snape. Why is snape here? "come with me."

"what ,why ?" I say hastily standing up. Am I in trouble? Did Mattheo kill someone else? Do I need to identify A dead body?!

"just follow me please." He says turning around . 

I follow him while he walks slowly to our destination.

 "In here" I realize where we're at, the head masters office. 

He says the word and the Gargoyle opens. I step inside. Until I reach the top.

Shit! What did Mattheo do! will I have to lie for him?! I take A slow deep breath the knock once. 

"come in." I hear Dumbledore say. 

I slowly open the door walking in. I look around the last time I had been here was in 3rd year.

 Someone catches my eye. Mattheo. He looks at me and gives me a smile. His clothes are still covered with blood. I stare at him still surprised he did it.

"sit down." Dumbledore says gesturing towards a chair. I slowly walk over sitting in the seat next to Mattheo yet sitting pretty distantly on my seat.

"Calm down."  Mattheo says looking over at me. " I won't kill you. Or will I..." He chuckles at this. If he hadn't killed someone already I would've laughed along but instead I became more uncomfortable.

"shut up." I say to him. Why the fuck did I say that?! He could kill me right here. Mattheo looked back at Dumbledore bored.

"can we get this over with professor? "  Mattheo asks him. 

"get what over with? " I ask them. 

Mattheo looks over at me then chuckles looking back at Dumbledore. "yeah." Mattheo says shaking his head "why don't you tell Bella why she's here."

I get really nervous about this. Dumbledore sighs.

"well Bella, we need your opinion on something." He says tiredly

 "opinion? " I ask after he doesn't say anything. 

"that is what he said isn't it? " Mattheo says rudely. I just glare at him looking at Dumbledore. 

"yes, well we need your opinion on what we should do with Mattheo." Why are they asking me!?

"um sorry sir, but why me? " I ask politely while Mattheo chuckles while shaking his head.

"well, we just think that since he's your friend you could decide what happens to him." Dumbledore says. 

"what are my options? " I ask him. 

"well the most common one is to be sent to Azkaban-" he responds. 

"yeah Bella, why don't you send me to azkaban?" Mattheo asks sarcastically. "if you don't shut up maybe I will. " Mattheo chuckles again "go ahead but I will escape and I will kill you. " 

What the fuck! Mattheo just gave me a death threat! Well guess azkaban is out of the question.

 "So Azkaban, he may be expelled, we can transfigurate him into a cat and make him do work around the school his whole life" okay but why? Why a cat? That would be a great punishment though."or we can Suspend him then give him detention for a month."

"um" I say realizing I get to decide if he's a cat the rest of his life. "what's it gonna be? Wanna send me to azkaban?" "of course not. I want to turn you into a cat." Mattheo looks shocked then says sarcastically "you would do that to your own boyfriend? " "boyfriend?!" I say to him. "Yeah." He says smiling "technically, we never broke up." He adds. "well no offense but, I don't want to date a guy that gives me death threats, is covered in blood, or kills someone! " Mattheo looks sad for a second then back to his normal self "fine then. I guess we're not together anymore."

Fuck! What the fuck did I do! Now me and Mattheo aren't dating?! Oh well I guess... Fucking killer. But just because he was a killer didn't mean I didn't love him.

"fine." I say turning back to Dumbledore.

 I feel a tear filling my eye but I just push it back "just suspend him." I don't know why I didn't send him to azkaban but I still care about him and if it were up to me I would decide to just gift him. Except it is up to me.

 "alright." Dumbledore says "Mattheo. You will be suspended for 2 weeks and have detention for a month."

 Only 2 weeks?! Dumbledore stands up walking over to a pile of paper muttering to himself.

"That was stupid." Mattheo says to me. "what? " I ask him looking over. "Not making me a cat." I sigh at him "and why is that? " "well now I can't claw you in your sleep."

"what the fuck is your problem!? " I yell at him. 

"Well Bella," he says as if he were talking to a baby "now I can't sneak into the school to kill you." I look at him horrified "calm down. I'm not going to kill you. Not yet at least." He says winking at me. 

"Well I'm going to kill you first." I say to him.

Dumbledore walks over setting a paper in front of me. "please sign your name." I do as he says as he does the same. He signs his own name leaving again going behind a door.

"why do you want to kill me so bad? " I ask him "and why did you kill Rodger?" I add. 

He chuckles "you actually believe I would kill you? Okay first of all I killed Rodger for you and second of all I overhead Dumbledore and Snape talking. " I give him a confused look before he continues "they were talking about expelling both of us."

 "why both of us?! " I ask him .

"Bella you honestly are extremely stupid. We're supposed to be enemies. They're afraid we might team up to attack the school." I give him a extremely confused look.

"that's the  stupidest thing I have ever heard." I say to him.

"we just have to pretend to be enemies deal? " he asks me . " deal." I say not really thinking. Dumbledore walks in dismissing me as I walk back to our dorm. All his stuff is gone. I lye on my bed finally getting sleep. What did he mean about Snape and Dumbledore?! It didn't see m like they really cared. Besides why would we? Me and Mattheo are close but - Even if me and Mattheo are pretending to be enemies... We still broke up...
