george

"come in!" a voice behind the door shouted, probably the principal. I push the door open with my trembling hands and see a man with blonde hair sitting behind a table.

he offers me a sweet smile, which makes me calm down a bit. "you must be george, right? my name is Mr Philza and I'm the principal."  he is still smiling which slowly freaks me out.

"yes." god, why did I say that?

he chuckles, then turns around with his chair and searches for something. "ah, got it!" he exclaims and turns around with full hands.

"here is your timetable, dorm and dorm key and some other stuff like rules, clubs and stuff like that," he explains and hands me the papers and the key over. "also, I hope you don't mind sharing a dorm with a girl since that's the only dorm we have left, sorry."

a girl? as long as she isn't quirky I'm fine with it. "that's fine." I reply while I nod.

"if you need anything you can come here anytime!" he said. my cue to leave, I guess.

we exchanged some byes and I left the principal office. i looked at the dorm key and read the number '238'. that must be on the third floor.

after some minutes, I finally found the first staircase. i realised when I was on the second floor, that I was getting weird stares.

anyways just keep on walking, you don't even know them and they don't even know you.

I furrowed my eyebrows when I felt someone tap my shoulder, carefully. i turned around and saw a girl around my height. she has blonde hair, dyed I think, brown eyes and she wore a long green skirt with a white crop top and added some necklaces.

"hi, you seem a bit lost and I wanted to ask if you need any help. sorry if it seems like I'm hitting on you, I'm not, I'm a lesbian and-" she explained and continued introducing herself." I'm sorry, I rambled, I can't help it. I'm flavie but please call me flav!"

I smiled and nodded."hi, my name is george and yes I'm searching for my dorm." as soon as I spoke her face brightens.

"you're British? I have a friend that's also British and sure, where's your dorm?" she asks and is waiting for me to say my dorm number.

" I am, and it's 238. I think it's on the third floor." I answer and her face flushed.

"238? the friend I told you about is also in that dorm, you'll get along with her hundred per cent!" her face was still bright red and I don't know why.

"you think?" I ask her because I don't know if I should trust her or not.

she smiled, nods and leads me up to the third floor. "also if you want to visit the greenhouse, go to the first floor and you'll find entrances on four sides. it's in the middle of the building." she tells me, smiling.

we stop and before I realize we're here she speaks up. "we're here and if you want her to like you, just be yourself." she gives me an assuring smile.

I want to tell her that I'm not interested so I say." I'm not- "she cuts me off mid-sentence.

"I know, she isn't either." she grins before knocking. after some seconds I hear a sweet voice saying that they're coming.

what does she mean? did she read my mind or did she think of something else? did she think I wanted to tell her 'I'm not straight'? or what?

you're probably asking if I am straight. I am not. I'm not gay either, I just say I'm unlabeled.

the door opened and revealed a girl that was one head taller than me. she has brown hair that reaches a bit more than her shoulders, has green eyes and she is wearing blue high-waisted baggy jeans, a white t shirt under a dark blue knitted vest and black converse.

(the outfit in the image)

I think I already fell in love with her already but of course, platonically.

they hug and part when flav introduces me, now she is looking at me.

"hi, it's nice to meet you!" she smiles and steps aside so we can come in.

"it's nice to meet you too, gracie." I smile back at her and go into the room, my suitcase rolling behind me.

"I'm gonna go, tay is probably waiting for me. it was nice meeting you!" flav said and left before I even got the chance to say the same.

she closed the door and asked. "so I'm not trying to sound rude but are you even allowed to share a dorm with me?"

"it doesn't sound rude, and technically I'm not allowed, but they didn't have any dorms left where they can put me."

she nodded."you can look around if you want. my bedroom is on the right, if you need anything." she smiled before going in her room.

I sighed and looked around. there was a small kitchen on the right side of the room and on the opposite side was the living room.

I'm assuming everyone has a own bathroom.

there are two closed doors on each side. one on the left and one on the right.

I glanced at a clock that hung next to the door. it was only 2pm.

I sighed softly and went into my bedroom, closing the door behind me. my new room was light gray, a bed was pushed against the right wall, next to it was a small night table, infront of it was a small bookshelf, on the right side from the shelf was a closet and on the left side of the bookshelf was a desk.

not that bad, I thought and sat down on my bed, satisfied with the mattress.

sighing, I lay down on my back, being exhausted already.

I realized, that flavie or flav said something about a greenhouse.

"also if you want to visit the greenhouse, go to the first floor and you'll find entrances four sides. it's in the middle of the building."

pain sprang in my head as I stood up. cursing to myself, I walked towards the door, the pain slowly fading away, and opened it.

---

I opened the glass door for the greenhouse and stepped in. it was beautiful.

there were trees and plants everywhere and it was so quiet, no one was here. why isn't anyone here? I would hangout here the whole day.

I admire the plants while walking until I saw a person sitting on a tree. it was gracie.

I smile and walk to her. "hi!" I say trying to get her attention. her head snaps to me and she smiles when she sees me.

"what are you doing?" I ask and look at the other side of the tree for permission, she nods and smiles.

I sit down on the other side and she begins talking. "I come here alot to study, read or just to hang out by myself since no one ever comes here, which I don't understand, but I'm happy it's so quiet here." she explains and grins.

I nod. " I don't understand how people don't come her either, I would come here so often." saying that makes her smile.

"we could hang out here! my friends never want to hang out here. sometimes flav does but my other friends don't. you can meet them if you want?" she asks.

I'm considering it. it'll be awkward but more friends? sure, I'm in.

"I'd love to meet them." she jumps off the tree and holds her hand out to me. I take it and she helps me down.

meeting more people, great. it's not like I make a bad first impression, right?
