Today has been calm so far. Nothing much has happened besides us just waiting out the week.Yesterday after we had some rest we just entertained ourselves by watching some movies and checking out the news. From what the news said, some chaos arose when all anthros in heat woke up and left their homes.
They started go after people in the streets and broke into a few homes if they knew people were there. A few people tried looting a store for valuables, and because of that some anthros got them.
It seems the intensity has ramped up in each town doing this experiment. I feel like it's only a matter of time before anthros start getting into fortified houses like ours.
If that happens to us, I don't know what we should do. We have nowhere to go besides Everrett's house, and that's all the way across town and in a highly populated area from what I heard my friends say. We would have to get past legions of pent up anthros, and then sneak into a house without them noticing us, and then we'd have to wait a week and hope they don't investigate.
If we were to board up Everett's house like we did to this one, it might be a double edged sword. It might tell the anthros that there are people hiding out from the baords over the windows.
Besides the possibility of anthros searching this house, we also have a food situation. We checked our food last night, and isn't enough for 4 of us to last 6 days. It was only enough for Ollie to take care of himself and himself only while his mom was away, not 4 people.
Despite everything, we watched a couple movies last night to pass some time. I think they were made by the same people who made that survival film I watched with Erika.
And that all leads to now. Hannah is the guest bedroom doing her own thing, Everett and I are sitting on the couch, and Ollie is cooking supper for us while listening to music through his headphones. He's even humming along to it.
I didn't recognize the song so I asked Everett, "What song is Ollie humming?"
"I think it's the song 'Only You', he listens to it a lot."
"Ah, ok."
I took out my phone and checked the news to see nothing had changed. I put it away and let itt it a sigh of boredom.
Everret looked over at me and asked, "What movies do you like?"
"I don't really watch movies. I've only seen a few old films at the orphanage and those three war films over the last two days."
"You saw the first movie?"
"Yeah, I watched it with Erika the day before everyone went into heat." I explained. "I thought the movie was ok."
"Me too. I thought the plot seemed a bit unplanned so some parts of the movie didn't seem to do anything besides push the Protag along."
I agreed with him and said, "Yeah, and the ending seemed quite rushed aswell. They had a location with new characters but never did too much with it."
"I know. It seemed like an underdeveloped means to get to the finale."
"At least they reincorporated a few things from the past like the axe from the beginning and the only developed character that didn't die."
Ollie stopped humming and walked into the living room to say, "Suppers ready."
I got up to go get some food and Everett left to get Hannah. We all got seated and started to eat.
"I don't think this place is going to last." Hannah brought up.
"Why not?" Ollie asked.
"Anthros might be desperate enough to break in, I've seen some stuff on the news where they break down boarded up windows."
