The following morning
As soon as I arrived at my workplace, nothing changed. I still have a hard time believing what happened last night.
"Asano-kun" He's the first person I greeted.
"Momo-chan" He paused fixing one of our customer's tablets and instead greeted me back.
"Did you sleep well last night?"
"I am"
"Hey! What happened to your lovely cheek?" Haruka showed up out of the blue, making the two of us startled.
"I hit electric pole last night" Asano replied nonchalantly.
"Is that so?" Haruka stared at me, asking for confirmation.
"Yeah. Last night he called me about the incident. How careless" I chuckled.
"I thought you're always catching a bus, Asano-kun?" Haruka began her interrogation.
"Let me make it clear, I was walking home from the minimarket after buying a spicy ramen cup. I'm too focused on my phone and that's how I got this bruised cheek"
"You are not fighting, are you?" Haruka seemed skeptical.
"Ohayo gozaimasu minna-san" (Good morning guys) The voice of our boss, Tanaka-sama, breaks our group conversation apart.
8.30 pm
"Good work today, guys." Tanaka-sama showed us some appreciation for today's work.
Today was indeed hectic, but I'm grateful that he's not coming back to scare me.
After closing the shop...
Asano and I went straight to the parking lot where I parked my motorbike.
"I have to give you a ride back home. That bastard is still on the loose. I do hope it'll be soon" Asano stated.
"I hope so" I smiled. The fear faded away when Asano was with me.
"Why are you shy all of a sudden? This isn't like you" Asano looked amused.
"No-nothing" I smiled coyly again.
"You can be shy too, huh?" He tried to tease me.
My smile instantly turned into a frown, "What the heck are you trying to imply!!"
"No-nothing." Asano replied out of fear.
As soon as we made it in front of my residence...
"You can borrow my motorbike and you can pick me up tomorrow before work" I told Asano.
"No, I'd rather stay for the night here. I was worried about you" Asano replied.
"Eeh, are you sure?"
"I am. now I'll cook instant Yakiniku beef I brought from the store early this morning." Asano pulled out a food packaging from his sling bag.
"O-okay.."
"Now, let's come on in and have a seat" Asano said.
"Supposedly I'm the one who said that" I yelled.

.
.
It's 9.10 PM now, and Asano is cooking some instant dinner for us.
10 minutes later
Asano and I are having dinner, just the two of us in my dining room.
Not long after that, Asano's phone rang.
After talking to the phone..
"Momo-chan, I'm sorry, but my mom needed me to run some errands tonight. I'll just hail a cab, don't worry about me. Don't forget to lock your door, okay?" Asano said.
"Eh okay, be careful! Let me walk you out of the neighborhood. You know, my neighborhood is like a maze. If you enter the wrong alley, you'll be trapped"
Asano laughed and nodded his head.
I put my sweater on and walked him out of my residence.
