The group of teenagers stood frozen in shock outside Sancori's house where a gunshot had just been fired. Deion, her face reflecting the same anxiety as Rocco's, slowly turned to him.
Regardless of whether the bullet had hit Armani or Kane, Deion was deeply concerned - both of them were connected to her unborn child, making the situation equally terrifying either way.
The teenagers' trance-like state was broken when the creaky front door slowly swung open, drawing their attention. Kane emerged from the house, his hand gripping the gun, causing Deion's heart to sink with a jolt of fear. "Where's Armani?" Deion asked with no hesitation.
Kane's gaze, locked intensely on Sancori, conveyed a subtle reassurance that Armani was still inside alive. Rocco pulled Sancori behind him, not knowing what demon had taken over his friend.
"Man, i'an gon' touch her." Kane waved him off, brushing past them. "He sholl ain't." Armani stepped through the door, closing the door behind him.
Overwhelmed with relief, Deion exhaled deeply as she caught sight of Armani's face, a welcome interlude from the intense fear she had endured.
The gruesome experience had left her shaken, her heart racing uncontrollably, and she was also fighting to disregard the contractions that threatened to complicate an already critical situation.
The group stared at Armani in awe. Like he was a god or something, which made him frown. "May I help y'all?" He inquired. Swiftly moving around Armani, Deion marched into the house to go retrieve her things and go home.
Armani wasted no time dashing after her to go see what's up. "What's wrong?" He watched Deion rush to grab her things from the living room and stuff it in her purse. She knew Armani won't take "nothing" for an answer, so she went into detail with her response."I don't feel good." Deion shook her head, putting her purse across her body. "Like everything hurts and everything feels weird. Not even just my body feel weird, the vibe here is weird." She explained and Armani frowned, tilting his head to the side.
"I love my friends but, her pinning a baby on Kane just to get him to stay with her was wrong. I'm pretty sure she didn't think this would happen, but she put everybody at risk. On top of that, Kane probably already spent a whole bunch of money on baby stuff. You know how he is. That man probably hurt."
"I can't even be mad at him, 'cause he got every right to be upset, but he can't just do stuff like that. Like he was really 'bout to shoot Cori?" Deion vented before brushing past Armani and going to the front door.
Due to her point in pregnancy, she was waddling and hadn't got far before Armani caught up to her. "What was that earlier 'bout you havin' contractions n' stuff?" Armani inquired, opening the front door for her, allowing her to step outside.
"I don't know if it's contractions or not. It's probably stress. I am real irritated right now." Deion shrugged as they made it to the car. "You wanna' go to the hospital?" Armani asked and Deion frowned, shaking her head, opening the car door.
"Deion," Armani said, slamming the door shut before she could get in. "I'm good!" She shouted. Without exchanging anymore words, Armani locked his gaze on her and opened the drivers door for her, allowing her to get in.

The events of yesterday had left Deion traumatized. She couldn't shake off the memories, and the sound of the gunshot continued to echo in her mind, causing her heart rate to accelerate with each recollection.
