I will give *some* context at the bottom, for anyone who wants it, but I don't want to take up too much space here.

The tiny creature drew Fellsor's attention by making a squeaking noise. Fellsor looked at the Monpru, wondering what he and Melyah had gotten themselves into by taking it back to their "secret hideout", as Melyah called it.
Fellsor was currently alone, as Melyah had needed to go somewhere with her family. Well, not quite alone - the Monpru was there.
Though, of course, the poor animal couldn't really go anywhere, so it was always there. Always sitting in the makeshift nest of clouds and spare cloth that Fellsor and Melyah had made for it when they'd first brought it back to this place.
"This place" being the small cloud island that Melyah had found a few years ago while flying. Not long after she found it, she had brought Fellsor there, and they had worked on making a hidden area inside the cloud, where they could spend their time without worrying that their games or conversations would be interrupted. Over time, they had brought items into the hideout, slowly decorating it with objects that they knew their families wouldn't notice were missing.
And one day, not too long ago, they had brought back a Monpru. It was very recent, really, only a week ago.
Fellsor and Melyah had been flying around, when Melyah had heard something on one of the lower cloud islands, and had made Fellsor stop so they could check it out.
They had landed on a cloud not far from where Melyah had heard the noise, just a bit above it. The two both looked for anything strange or unusual, and found that a Monpru had somehow gotten onto the cloud island below them.
Since Monprus are harmless, Melyah figured it wouldn't hurt to go down and get a better look, and had flown off before Fellsor could object. And of course Fellsor wasn't going to leave his girlfriend to deal with the Monpru alone, so he had followed her.
Neither of them had expected to see the creature curled up into a ball with its tiny wings wrapped around its body, shivering, looking small and defenseless.
Melyah was quick to approach it, making a low, rumbling sound to let the Monpru know she was there.
The Monpru lifted its head, and Fellsor saw that its Oro was dull, lacking the shine that was commonly mentioned in books that described Monprus. He also noticed that the Monpru looked scared when it saw Melyah, which he thought was odd as well. He had often heard Monprus described as friendly, confident, and playful - so why was this one none of those things?
Then Fellsor remembered something he had read about a while ago, a sickness in Monprus called Oronitis. It was fairly uncommon, as the disease wasn't easily spread, but it could be harmful to the Monpru it infected.
From what Fellsor remembered reading, Oronitis was a disease that targeted the Oro, as it's name suggested. An Oro was a silver spot on a Monpru's forehead, mostly used for echolocation. However, the Oro also helped the Monpru to heal, which is what made Oronitis as dangerous as it was. Oronitis also made the infected Monpru more susceptible to cold temperatures.
Fellsor had told Melyah that the Monpru was likely infected, but since the disease only affected Monprus, they would be safe. Melyah had decided to take the Monpru back to their hideout to care for it, and Fellsor had gone back to the palace library to find more information on Oronitis.
He had found that there was a cure, but it required several ingredients that were difficult to obtain. Actually, it was near impossible for him or Melyah to get the ingredients, as Ethyries under 20 years of age were not allowed to leave the cloud cities without special permission. Fellsor could easily ask his parents for permission; however, he would need to explain why, and seeing as underage Ethyries were also prohibited from interacting with other Unusual creatures, his parents likely wouldn't allow it and would take away the Monpru.
So he had decided to ask his Asta.

I'm honestly not expecting this to make sense to anyone other than me, but I thought I would post it anyways, because I can 🙃
I didn't write this scene from the main character's perspective (the main character is a human girl named Xara Bruen), but I did write it from the perspective of the Ethyri she Bonded with. Another word I made for that kind of Bond is "Asta", so when it says "So he had decided to ask his Asta." at the end of that scene, it's saying that Fellsor (the Ethyri) was going to ask Xara (the main character) to get the stuff to help the Monpru (more explanations below, if you're interested).

Quick explanation of what Ethyries and Monprus are;
They're both magical creatures I made up for the book I'm writing (as I said in the title, I'm not writing it on Wattpad, that would take too long. I've been working on it in a Word document for a little over two years now, and I have around 100 pages - not including all the extra stuff I've written on my phone and in other Word documents). An Ethyri is something that looks kind of like a dragon, but it's only about 10ft from head to tail at most, and can only grow up to 6ft tall. They can't breathe fire, but they have a few other abilities:
• Changing color, or even turning completely invisible; also if they change color it's likely based on emotion, and I have a whole code for that but I won't put it here. Also, they all have a unique "default" color, which they turn to when they aren't feeling any strong or specific emotions.
• They can change the state of matter of something without affecting its temperature or shape or color. Like, they could turn a rock into a liquid state, but it's temperature wouldn't change and it would, for the most part, hold its original shape. Or they could turn it into a gas state, and it would do the same. This also works with turning liquids or gasses into solid objects.
• I decided to defy logic again and they can do the state-of-matter-changing thing to themselves, but that takes more energy. So... they could literally just melt or dissolve whenever they want to. Also, no, this does not hurt them. They also can't do it to other animals, but they can to plants.
For the Monpru, I haven't developed it quite as much as the Ethyri, but it's a small creature about the size of a bat, and it has a silver spot on its forehead (Called an Oro) that's used for echolocation. It has the body and eyes of a cat, has rabbit ears and can jump like a rabbit, and it has dragon wings and can breathe fire (not enough to be dangerous, just enough to cook bugs for it to eat).

I might do a few parts like this, where I just copy/paste something I wrote for a story I'm working on somewhere else. I don't think I'll ever get around to putting that on Wattpad though, because I'm lazy and that would be a lot of work, so I'll just do a few of the scenes I have written on my phone.
Oh, and the image at the top of this is a picture of the cover I made for the book I mentioned. I did cut out my name though, for privacy of course. I also just took a picture of my laptop, so it looks a bit funny (the background looks gray, but it's actually black).
