So I just found out that my 80-year-old grandpa knows - and is good friends with - a lot of lesbians.
We also talked for a good 15-20 minutes about the differences between queer acceptance when he was younger versus now, and it was a really nice conversation. It's made me feel a lot better knowing that my family is accepting, even the older family members.
Also, I just came out to him as non-binary and pansexual. I explained what both of those terms meant, and when I was done explaining, he took a moment, then laughed and said, "So you're complicated?" Which I thought was a great way of summarizing it
