"Right next to you" he and the rest of the class chuckled. You crossed his name out and continued the roll call. Being vice president in your class wasn't really the position you were hoping for, even though it wasn't much work as Marco had to deal with, being class president, but you enjoyed having that power over people
"Only one person missing" You said, Marco looked over the checklist to see and the only person's name which wasn't crossed out was Hitch's, your girlfriend
You both groaned and rolled your eyes, "This is the third time this week" Marco said and marked X on Hitch's attendance
"Girlfriend missing again?" Eren asked
You nod, "That's like the third time this week, you should punish her, bro" Connie said in a certain tone, followed with your classmates woo-ing, whistling and smirking at you
You gave Connie a cold and subdued look and threw an eraser at him, "shut your Mr. Clean lookin' ass"
He winced for a moment before throwing it back at you but missing, and that's when lo and behold Hitch Dreyse ran into the classroom, out of breath. But upon seeing you and Marco in front of the class she fixed her uniform and rested against the door frame
"Did ya miss me?"
"We saw each other just yesterday. Plus you're five minutes late, if you're late two more times you'll either be suspended or have to take community service" you scolded, with Marco nodding right behind you and some of your classmates watching. Hitch walks up to you with a smile, walking one arm up your shoulder and wrapping it around you
"Aw, i'm sorry. Why don't I make it up to you tonight? I think as vice president you surely deserve a break" she said softly with a smirk, followed with an uproar of squeals and shocked expressions from your few classmates watching
You inhale sharply, pretending to be irritated and put her arm back down, "The only place where you'll be making it up to me is the faculty room when you're late again" you whispered, with a sweet but irritated smile before taking your seat
"Hitch, I think you should take your seat too" Marco pointed at the clock and walked to his seat, and Hitch agreed and sat right next to you
She winks and tries to get your attention but you just look and turn the other way. "Everyone, today we'll be cleaning the school" your teacher said almost happily, everyone groaned and whined
"Whoever cleans the most will get an exemption from the test next Monday"
Most of your classmates perked up and grabbed their supplies before walking out of the classroom. Your class was in charge of cleaning the third floor so it should be easy
"Guys, who's gonna clean that old classroom over there?" Connie asked
Everyone looked over to the classroom across yours. It's mostly used for practices in school events but other than that, it hasn't been used in you assume, years
"Hell no, i'm cleaning the bathroom. come on, Thomas" Jean walked away and grabbed Thomas' hand. "Didn't a student die in that classroom?" Armin asked
"You guys actually believe in those rumors? Where'd you get them, your little brother?" you grabbed a broom and opened the door. You turned back around to the group, "See guys? There's nothing to be scared o—"
