Johnny went back to the penthouse apartment after Lulu left the bar, Ethan Lovett glancing up as the door opened.
"Get into anything tonight?" Ethan smirked, it hadn't taken long for Ethan to go back to his usual self after Johnny woke up from his three month long coma. Johnny found it particularly easy to get along with Ethan.
"I ran into you're sister at Jake's tonight." Johnny threw him a look.
"THAT'S WHAT I FORGOT! SIS IS PROBABLY PISSED AT ME!" Ethan gasped in realization, how could he have forgotten to tell his best mate about Lulu? She had practically been the most important woman in his life at one point.
"You and I had a conversation one time...well, more like you were brooding and I was just stuck listening. You said that there had only ever been three women you've ever truly loved. You're mother, you're sister and my sister...Lulu is the only one that's still alive. Ugh, I've got way too much going on if I'm gonna let my own fucking sister slip my damn mind." Ethan shook his head, annoyed at himself.
"She wasn't upset, she even made a joke about it. It sounds like Lulu was really important to me...when I saw her, she's the only thing that felt familiar. Like a deja Vu moment." Johnny looked at Ethan, before sitting on the couch.
"That's my sister for you, I know she'll never let me hear the end of it though. Oh, seriously? Did any memories come back?" Ethan's eyes widened, so far all he remembered was his name.
"No, nothing like that. It was just a sense of familiarity...like it was almost overwhelmingly familiar." Johnny shook his head, wishing for just an inkling of a memory he'd shared with Lulu Spencer.Lulu Spencer trudged home that night after heading home from Jake's after her conversation with Johnny, she just wished that he had his memories back. Memories of how he used to hold her after she'd had a bad day were etched in her mind. Even if he did have his memories back, Lulu wouldn't be with him right now... because she was still fucked up over Dante. If she were going to be with Johnny, he deserved all of her.
"I saw Johnny tonight...I think I'm going to be spending some time with him." Lulu called out to her roommate and best friend, Maxie Jones.
"How's he doing? I've been meaning to see him but, I've been busy juggling all this Matt and Spinelli drama." Maxie would always have a soft spot for Johnny in her heart but, kept her distance because of the history.
"Well, he told me that I was the only thing that had felt familiar since he woke up. No memories popped up or anything but, that's a start. Right?" Lulu plopped down onto the couch.
"That's progress, definitely. Out of everyone it would be you, you two have a long history and we all know it's rarly ever over. I think spending some time with Johnny would be good for you, maybe it'll jog his memory. I know that you need a friend right now, if nothing else Johnny was always able to be that for you." Maxie nodded, she'd seen how badly her best friend had been struggling lately.
"I want to help if I can, God knows I don't know where I'd be without Johnny. You should go and see him, poor thing doesn't remember anything but his name. It was just ..so good talking to him. All the stress that had built up just melted away the moment he spoke to me. I've really missed Johnny." Lulu slightly smiled.
"I'm going to bed, I've gotta get my eight hours of beauty rest. Sleep well." Maxie patter her friend's shoulder, before walking back to her bedroom. A few minutes later, Lulu went to go take a shower...memories of Johnny almost taunted her.
"I hope it's not too late to call. I just... really want to hear his voice..."It was about nine-thirty at night when his phone rang, Johnny had barely used the device since he'd woken up so he acted surprised when it rang.
"Who is it?" Ethan yawned.
"It's... Lulu." Johnny chuckled, in amazement.
"Oh lord, she's starting already." Ethan joked, as Johnny answered the call.
"Hello?" Johnny asked into the phone, unsure of how he'd usually do so.
"Hey, it's Lulu. I was just wondering if you made it home alright. I know you can take care of yourself but, please humor me." That same angelic voice from earlier filled his ear and, he chuckled.
"Yes, I made it back home. It's okay I understand, I was just in a car wreck that resulted in a three month long coma." Johnny really did understand.
"Good, that's good. I also just wanted to hear you're voice before I went to sleep...it's been awhile since you and I have talked. Maybe about four months? I guess I might still be in shock that you're here again. I'm blabbing I'm so sorry, I'm really not trying to keep you awake with my stupid word vomit." Lulu chuckled almost nervously, why was she nervous??
"That's...sweet. what are you doing tomorrow? I know you mentioned something about getting together." Johnny couldn't help the smile that infectiously spread across his face.
"Oh good, I thought you'd think it was creepy. I was going for sweet. I have to work until five but, after that I'm not doing much of anything. Would you want to meet my roommate, Maxie? You knew her before you're accident we were all friends but, she was kind of nervous to go and see you. There's a complicated history between the three of us. I'm not trying to overwhelm you, I promise!" Lulu blabbed yet again, which Johnny found absolutely adorable.
"Lu, don't worry about it. I'm not overwhelmed at all. You're sweet. I want to get back to living my normal life...of course I want to meet all of the people I was close to. Do you want me to meet you at you're apartment or somewhere else?" Johnny softly smiled, he couldn't wait to see her tomorrow.
"Did you...did you just call me Lu?" Lulu's voice caught in her throat.
"I did. Why?" Johnny wondered why she was stuck on that.
"That was you're nickname for me. Before I met you, only my dad was allowed to call me that. Maybe you're memories are closer then you think. You can meet me at The Metrocourt if you'd like, I work at Crimson Magazine...which is inside the hotel." Lulu smiled, loving the way he said her name.
"Oh, really? Maybe you're right. I'll meet you at Crimson at five. Have a good night Lu, be safe." They both hung up, for the first time in a long time they had hope.
