You thought to yourself

So beautiful,yet so deadly...

Your eyes were dull despite the bright flames in front of you... Your little brother had lit a candle, and, like the irresponsible bastard he is, knocked it over onto the rug in his room.

He ran out screaming and you and your family had to run. You only got your phone, keys, purse, and a plush you've had since you were 6. Everything else was gone to waste.

"Don't worry y/n!"Your mother tried to reassure you,"Insurance will cover most of the expenses and you can have a bigger room! The house was a bit small anyways..." You gave her a reassuring smile and a hug. You were holding back many tears.

The fire department wasn't there in time. Since you were a step back from the main road, it took them awhile to find you. Luckily only the house burned down, leaving the lush forest surrounding it untouched. You noticed one thing, however.

The cellar door is also untouched...

Your curiosity got the better of you as you opened the cellar door and peaked into the dark basement. You turned on the flash on your phone and looked around..

Blood..

You kept walking deeper and deeper into the cellar.

More blood...

You had an uneasy feeling and decided to leave just in case you stumbled upon something you weren't supposed to see.

You walked outside the cellar and out into the world again,the comforting light of the sun got in your eyes as you walked towards your mother.

"When can we move back?" You asked,"When the house is rebuilt, so a few months. In the meantime, we've rented out a few apartments in the city," "Mom,that's 50 minutes away!" "I know, I know, we're far away, but we're good. I know it was an accident, but it's okay..."

You knew it wasn't okay. You looked in the group chat.
