I slowly opened my eyes and saw how worried Eve is.

Halatang nag-aalangan si dad.

"May aasikasuhin lang ako sa company. Mabilis lang ako kaya wag kang pasaway. Okay?" dad said.
I pouted.
Lumapit si dad sa lalaking iyon na nakaupo sa sofa.
"Please look for her for a while. Take care of her." Dad said to East or Eve then patted his shoulder.
Bakit nya ako ipinagkakatiwala sa lalaking ito?

"Dad!" I called dad but he keeps on leaving like he never hear me.
Napaismid na lang ako.
"Are you hungry?" he softly asked.
I blinked twice.

His voice.
I nodded.
His worried face keeps on popping in my mind.
And until now his eyes are still worried. It's soft and warm.
"Just wait for a while. The food is coming."
I just nodded again.
Tahimik lamang kami hanggang dumating ang pagkain.
"What took you so long?" inis na tanong ni East kina Matt.
"I'm sorry. It's hard to find fresh fruits and vegetables in the middle of the city." Matt replied.
Kinuha ni East ang bitbit ng mga itong bag at ipinatong sa table sa gilid ko.
Isa-isa nitong inilabas ang mga prutas at gulay na nasa loob ng bag.

Iniabot sa akin ni East ang vegetable salad.
