"When did you arrived? You should tell me para nasundo kita sa airport." I said.

Xian chuckled. "Kahapon lang."

"Galing kang Greece, right?"

He nodded.

"Tell me. Maganda ba don? How's the weather? The food?" I asked.

He chuckled. "I'll tell you later. You should eat first."

I nodded.

Kakain na sana ako ng mapansin ang masamang tingin ni East.

Even Xian is calling him Eve but dad called him East.

What's that?

Only people who are close to him can call him by his real name? Can call him East?

"How are you, Eve?" Xian friendly asked.

East rolled his eyes. "Still the same."

Xian chuckled. Mukhang sanay na ito sa attitude problem ni East.

"I heard about what happened to you, Ingrid." Xian said.

"Huh?"

"Two years ago."

"Oh!" I pouted. "Alam mo na pala but still hindi mo man lang ako binisita."

"I'm sorry."

"I forgive you." I said then chuckled.

Nagulat ako ng ibagsak ni East ang kutsara at tinidor sa plato nya.

His jaw clenched.

Tumayo na ito at iniwan kami.

My brow furrowed. "What's his problem? He's so rude."

I look at Xian and he's looking at East.

"Do you know him?" Xian asked out of the blue.

I nodded. "Yeah. He's an annoying, arrogant and rude jerk."

That's what I think about him but why does my heart ache when I saw him?

Xian nodded.

"He must be really hurt." I heard Xian murmured.

Why are they all acting weird when East or Eve is around?

"You should follow him." Xian said.

Napaismid ako. "Why should I? He's so distant and cold. He's ungrateful too. It looks like he doesn't like me around."

Xian look at me intently then slowly nodded.

"Maybe he had his reasons." He murmured.

Nagkwentuhan pa kami saglit bago ako ihatid ni Xian sa bahay.

Nahiga ako sa kama at tumitig sa kisame ng kwarto ko.

Hindi ko namalayan na nakatulog ako at nagising na lamang dahil sa tunog ng phone ko.

It's my ringtone.

Kinapa ko ang phone ko at tinignan kung sinong tumatawag.

My brow furrowed.

Puppy calling....

Nanlaki ang mata ko sa nakita.

Who's this puppy?

I answer the call.

"Who's this?" I asked.

"Ingrid? Ingrid is that you?!" the voice on the other line asked.

"Yes. Who's this?"

"This is Matt, but this is Eve's phone."
