Fallen Angel

"I wasn't sure if you were a beautiful angel or a sexy devil, but now that I'm up close I see heaven in your eyes."

- stupid pick-up line

I drink my cocktail seductively. My working skills are put straight to the test in the real world.

I keep "sneaking" glances at him and smiling. Soon he catches on and he waves at me and I shyly wave back.

It's going well. That's excellent.

A bartender walks to me and hands me a drink, "It came from that guy," he says.

The drink is very sweet and tastes nice. I can taste a hit of vodka or... tequila. Something there.

He has good taste in drinks. I might actually order this again.

Geez, he's perfect.

Nonetheless, he's a huge crybaby and hits Dariya because of it. Sucks that he's going to die, he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Well it's obvious he's not nice. He hits women.

He stands up and begins walking towards me and I smile, watching as he comes up.

He sits down on the empty stool next to me and drinks his drink.

"Hello, pretty." he says and I smile at the compliments.

"Hello."

"My name is Darione, what's yours?"

"Heaven," I lie. I can't tell this man my true name. Just in case something happens. I don't know.

"You know, it looks like you came straight down from Heaven just to talk to me," he says.

A pick-up line.

Yeah, he went from a 10 to a 9.5. I hate pick-up lines, especially corny ones. You hear all sorts of them working as a stripper and in a casino.

Plus, bringing logic in the pick-up line, that technically means I would be a fallen angel but I'll ignore it.

For now.

I also in no way look like a proper angel much less a fallen one.

We keep flirting with one another as he gives me drinks and I'm happy he bought them for the both of us even though I'm the one with the unlimited drinks receipt.

He wraps an arm around my chair and squeezes my shoulder pushing us closer together. He smells like a nice cologne. Similar to Enzo.

Doesn't that mean it's an expensive cologne?

"Would you like to come to my apartment?" I ask and I giggle, pretending to be shy when it comes to men.

Men like shy girls.

Men and their obsession with innocence will always confuse me.

Still, isn't this too fast? He can't be this stupid to bring a stranger into his home. Though, Dariya and him met because of this club and they had a one-night-stand so maybe he's unaware of danger.

They can't hurt/kill him. He's a trained assassin. He knows the in and outs.

Wouldn't that make him more protective of his life since he can't trust people. They might know the truth about him.

"I don't know...My friends are here. I can't possibly leave them alone," I say, acting coy.

He laughs moving his hand from my shoulder to my waist. His cold hands touch my bare midriff.
