"I am telling you that they are not real." Marcus said.
"They are real Marcus." Paulo said.
"What in the world are you two talking about?" Mom asked as she walked downstairs to the living room.
"They are talking about some things that random kids talk about." Cole said.
Marcus rolled his eyes and grabbed a pillow from the couch then threw it at Cole.
"Hey!"
"Marcus stop throwing things at your brother and Cole are you okay?" Mom questioned.
"Yeah I am just little bit tired but I am fine why?" Cole asked.
"Oh so that's why you look like you want to pass out or throw up again on thanksgiving." Paulo said.
"Wait how did you know about that?" Cole questioned.
"I saw you outside when you came out of your car and then puked all over the grass."
Cole mentally rolled his eyes and wonders who else saw him on that day.
"Well that was embarrassing ." Cole said.
" I know right." Marcus said laughing.
"Shut up Marcus stop acting like you don't do the same thing." Cole said.
"I don't but okay."
" Marcus and Paulo can you two go to another room while me and Cole talk." Mom said.
"Okay auntie." Paulo said.
"Let's go to the game room because there is a new video game I want to show you." Marcus said before both of them left the living room and went downstairs where the game room was.
"Mom I haven't drank alcohol or took any drugs in a while, I promise you that." Cole said.
"I wasn't going to ask that but now I am curious and don't lie to me." Mom said.
Cole sighed. " I did drink but it wasn't on that day and after everything happened I decided to start taking it again hoping I could feel happy but still feeling a lot of pain."
"What happened?"
Cole wanted to tell his mom about the proposal to Maddie but decided not to talk about it.
"A lot of bad memories that's all."
"Why is it easy for you to talk about this to other people but to your mother you can't?"
"You know I-"
"Cole I am supposed to be worried about you look just try to talk to me and don't be afraid."
Cole chuckled. "I am not afraid Mom."
"Then what are you afraid of?"
"I am afraid of being here feeling this pain and keep thinking that I want to kill myself which I don't at all."
"Also the thought of holding a knife and using to sta-"
"Cole you need serious help and you know you need it."
"I don't want help okay I don't need therapy."
"Everyone want to help you and you don't want it so what you want to do?"
"You know a couple weeks ago I proposed to Maddie and she said no, it is like my heart was broken to pieces."
"Is this why-"
"No it is not because of her and besides I don't really care much about the proposal anyway since I realized that she was not the one for me."
