"Alright I am done playing video games" I groan, standing up in defeat.
"What do you mean? We still have 5 rounds left!" Steven says.
"Jere can just take his spot back. Right Jere?"
"Uh yeah"
"Ok great, I'm going to go for an evening swim. Anyone care to join?"
"We have to finish this game and we have to go to your mom's stupid book party. So, I don't think we can. Sorry" Conrad says.
"It's not stupid, she really likes to write."
"I don't mind supporting your mother, but the book parties themselves are boring as hell"
"Ok I guess you're right" I laugh, "Anyways I'm gonna get changed"
I had Jere the controller.
"Thank you m'lady" he bows like he's excepting a gift from a queen.
I mean, he technically is.

Should I wear a cute bathing suit or a casual bathing suit? A one piece or a bikini?
So many choices...one piece it is.
It's just a plain, dark blue suit. Nothing too fancy. I'm only swimming in our pool anyways.
I walk back downstairs, and the boys don't even notice I'm there.
Well, Con looked at me...and then looked straight back at the game.
I roll my eyes. "Boys" I say to myself as I walk out the door.
The smell of grass, the air, and the beach.
It's...calming. And less...chaotic...than earlier.
I have always loved evening swims. Sometimes, even mom or Susannah would join me. The boys were always busy doing "boy things", at least, according to them.
I dive into the water, and I let all of my emotions and stress out through the intense chill of the water. I sit at the bottom for a few seconds, but in reality, it feels like an eternity.
That's why I have always loved night swims.
The overwhelming, pleasant feeling I get, takes away any of my stress.
Today was a big step for me. Big groups/settings are not my kind of thing, if you didn't know that already.
Being here, in this pool. At this house. With my favorite people.
That's my kind of thing.
The lights in the pool are on and it gives the water a beautiful, luminous look.
It's so peaceful.
It's perfect.
