It was a cold night in December,
the sun set in ember,
a woman begged for shelter
and something to eat.

But his heart was astray
and he turned her away,
didn't even deem her
worthy of a greet.

She cursed and she huffed,
he grinned and he laughed.

And during his feast,
he turned in the Beast.

***

Years passed by
and on a day in July,
an old man stumbled in the Beast's garden so bold

He grabbed ahold
of a rose so gold

And as he left,
the Beast yelled Theft!

"For this crime you will atone."

The man begged for mercy,
the man begged for help.

But the Beast turned his heart into stone.

***

The rumor spread,
It will cause him his head

The man's daughter
thought: "No siree"

She rushed to the Beast:
"Set him free!"

But the Beast said:
"A death for a death."

"Take me instead."

***

As the daughter stayed,
his heart started to sway.

He kept her alive,
wanted her as his wife.

But whenever he growled,
she just scowled.

So he learned to be kind,
using his mind,
he started to grow,
following her flow.

And soon the Beast was no more.

Love helped him change,
- isn't it strange? -
it changed the Beast
and all he'd known

He swallowed his pride,
became the man deep inside.

And years later had her as his bride.

Beauty and the Beast,
Let's have a feast

Beauty and the Beast,
He found love at least

But she wasn't his Beauty,
she never would be,
his true Beauty
was in his heart, you see

He was his own Beauty,
he was his own Beast,

Losing himself in her love,
his curse was released

The sun rose in ember,
he remembered
Her Beauty was his Destiny
