Hinata Pov

"A banquet?" - Hinata

"Yes my lady! Its the Second Prince's birthday banquet tonight! The Duke is not able to go and Second Young Master says that he'd rather focus on his training. So the Duke has asked for you and First Young Master to attend the banquet in his stead." - Emily

Its been two days since I fought Reynold.

I'll be able to meet Marquis Vinter if I go to this banquet...

This is the best way to get acquainted with him.

"Tell them that I will go." - Hinata

"As you wish my lady." - Emily

Despite her words, Emily continued to stand still.

I raised an eyebrow as I watched her fiddle with her fingers.

"Is there something you wish to ask me?" - Hinata

"Ah! N-no, my lady! I just want to thank you for giving me another opportunity to prove myself!" - Emily

I frowned.

I'm not giving you another chance. I am in no position to give you another chance.

Even if I did, I would never trust you.

I sighed and shook my head.

"Could you please get me a few cinnamon buns? I've been craving them for a while. And while your at it, go fetch me some coffee as well. Extra sugar." - Hinata

I don't want to get emotionally attached with her. She'll betray me as soon as Yvonne returns. If she finds out any of my secrets, I'll be in a lot of trouble.

I must keep a distance from her yet keep her close so as to reduce chances of her betraying me.

Emily looked at her feet and then complied with what I said.

She bowed and left my chambers.

I sat by the window and looked out.

A blue bird flew up in the air.

I stared at it until it flew out of sight.

Hanabi.... Just wait a while longer please. Your big sister will save you.....

Naruto-Kun....

A tear dropped from my eye.

I buried my head in my arms as I brought my knees to my chest.

BAM!

I looked up, startled.

I saw Reynold at the door.

"What is your problem?!" - Hinata

He looked at me concerned.

I realized that I still had tears in my eyes.

Wiping them away I addressed him once more in a much calmer voice.

"What are you doing here Young Master?" - Hinata

"Why are you crying?!" - Reynold

"I'm not. And even if I were then it'd be none of your business." - Hinata

He grit his teeth and opened his mouth to rebuke.

I quickly interrupted him.

"Did you want something?" - Hinata

He got flustered.

".....yeah.... Do you.....* says something inaudible *" - Reynold

I raised an eyebrow.
