As kids we weren't given all the love we deserved, all we got were the thoughts of the love our parents had for us,
They didn't do touchy feelings because their fathers before them never did,
So now we're meant to raise our own children the same way, with a thought of how much we love them without really saying it,
With a thought of all the I love you's they are meant to hear but don't, because they were never said to us by our parents,
But it's okay not to be our parents just because they're our parents,
It's okay to say all the I love you's we can, there's something it leaves with our children.

P.S
As a child the words 'I love you' were very often said, it was more of implied rather than said, thinking back I could count the number of times I heard those words,
Don't get me wrong, the fact that it was rarely said didn't mean my parents loved me less but there was always something reassuring about hearing them out loud.
