"Everyone carry on with what you were doing." She says calmly to the class, who are all staring at me. They turn back to their work and the red-haired beauty walks over to me. "What's your name?" She sternly questions, sitting in the empty seat next to me.

"Sasha." I mutter in reply.

"Sasha..." She trailed off, looking at her list of students, "Volkov?"

"Yep."

"That's Russian."

"Uh-huh. What's your point?"

"I-" She sighs irritably, "Nevermind." She hands me a sheet of paper displaying the Russian alphabet and a few simple words for me to translate. "Complete this worksheet please."

"That's really sweet of you, Miss. But, here's the thing, I already have one of these at home and I don't think another one would be of much use to me. Any chance I could return it?"

She glares at me. Damn, she's hot when she's mad. "First of all, it's Miss Romanoff to you-"

"Ooooo, lookie! That's Russian too. Twinning!" I squeal, sarcastically.

She huffs and scrunches her nose at me in annoyance. "Secondly, you will complete the work, you're already in enough trouble as it is."

I sigh, roll my eyes and rest my head on the desk.

"Little shit." She breathes, so quietly I almost don't hear it. Almost.

She stands and walks back to her desk, resting her head in her hands. Twenty minutes to go.

~~~
"Okay everyone, that's the end of the lesson. You can go now."
I stand and make my way towards the door, along with the rest of the class.
"Not you, Miss Volkov."
I grumble to myself and turn around, making my way back towards her.
"Why were you late?" She asks.
"Wow, straight to the point I see. Well, if you must know, I was having a coffee."
"That's the reason you were late?" She questions, raising an eyebrow with a bit of edge to her voice.
"Yep." I reply, popping the 'p'.
"Right. I got a coffee this morning, and I managed to be on time. Also, I happened to see you walk past the classroom door three times before you actually entered the room."
"O-kay. You weren't late, good for you. Can I please leave now?"
"No. No, you can't leave. I still need to talk to you about the work that you didn't do today. Sit down." She points to the closest desk and I sit where she's pointing.
Just as I sit down, my phone buzzes from in my pocket. I take it out and look at it. It's a message from my sister, Alison.
8:23 - Alison: Sash, I really need you to come home right now.
8:23 - Alison: Klaus got really drunk and he's trying to find more alcohol.
8:24 - Alison: It's really bad Sash. He won't listen to anyone and he's being really horrible right now.
8:25 - Alison: He might get violent soon if nobody calms him down. He always listens to you.
I message her back, typing under the table.
8:26 - Me: I'm really sorry, Ali. I can't right now. One of my teachers is giving me shit about being late.
"What do you think you're doing?" Miss Romanoff snaps, "Give me the phone." She holds out her hand.
