Waking Up —
Amihan feels a crick in his neck, but the warmth on his side was something he found himself leaning towards. He cuddles closer, burying himself there as he hears the deep rumble of a chuckle from his position. Without opening his eyes, he sleepily complains, "Stop laughing, am sleepyyyy." This time, he feels a huff of hair close to the top of his head, with deft hands carding through his locks. He leans towards the touch and lets out a contented hum.
Banawag always knew that Amihan disliked being woken up, but he takes his time. A gentle nudge here, a kiss by his nose there; tiny little things to rouse his lovely dear awake. He gives Amihan another kiss by the side of his brow before whispering, "Husband, wake up, hm?" Amihan groans and grumbles a whiny "Nooooooooo..."
After the whole debacle between the powers that be of the earth and beneath it, Amihan had taken it upon himself to enjoy the peace that came along with sleeping. And while Banawag was the clingier of the two, and not ashamed to admit it, Amihan was more likely to be a lazy little bug who would rather stay in bed and not get out unless absolutely needed.
Slowly and gently, Banawag continues his work. He holds Amihan close, and stares at the beauty of his husband before him. The sun peaked through their windowsill and its light began creeping close to Amihan's face, giving Banawag the best view. If you asked him, he could stare for hours and be forever content with that. He sighs and presses a gentle kiss on Amihan's pouty lips, jutted out and annoyed at Banawag's attempt to wake him.
The pout dissolved soon enough, and Amihan finds himself kissing back. The kiss wasn't heated, but it was still full of passion, and it reminded Banawag of the home he always chose to return to. He peppers tiny kisses on Amihan's lips until his husband smiles and ends up giggling, "Alright, alright, I'm awake!" Banawags grins, "Ho? Doesn't look like it though~" He continues teasing Amihan, by nipping at his ear to which Amihan yelps and jolts. This sends them both crashing down from their bed and into their wooden floor and a heap of limbs and blankets. There were also some unmanly screams thrown in but they'd never say anything about it.
They laid flat on their back, with Banawag's arm still not letting go of Amihan's waist. They stare at the ceiling as they hear a concerned voice call, "Ama? Tay?! ARE YOU OKAY?!" Banawag sighs, "We better get up, lest Ligid get more worried." Amihan glares, pushing himself up into a sitting position. "This is your fault, you know." Banawag laughs, "Fine, fine." He sits up too, wrapping his arms tight around Amihan's torso, before planting a kiss on Amihan's shoulder. He nudges his face close to Amihan's which is warm from the affection Banawag keeps showering him with. Banawag nuzzles closer, treasuring another day where he gets to hold, to love and to be with Amihan.
"Good morning, my sky."
"Good morning to you too, my heart."
