Devika is relishing her morning tea and looking at the picture of her late husband, Daksh. She trails down the time when Daksh convinced her to come to New York and now, his son, Vineet is convincing her to go back to India. She's lost in her thoughts when she feels a warm touch on her cheeks. She looks up and finds Vineet sitting beside her, rubbing her tears.

"Ma, why do you cry? Tumhe pata hai na ki mujhe acha nahi lagta tumhe aise dekh ke?" Vineet questions.
"Toh aur kya karun? Tum ho bhi toh apne papa ki carbon copy! Aur tum dono mujhe na rone ka vaada karke, khud hi rulaate ho!" Devika looks at her son.
"I promise abse aisa nahi hoga, Ma! Ab sab thik ho jayega. Aur jis baat ka aapko darr hai wo toh ab khtm ho hi jayegi." Vineet says with a small smile.
"Matlab? Kya keh raha hai tu?" she questions while looking at her son.
"Jaldi pata chal jayega, Ma. Bas ab aap rona band karo. I promise jisne bhi aapko itna dukh diya hai na, sabko saza dunga main." Vineet says, getting emotional at the moment.

"Nahi Vineet! Tu aisa kuch nahi karega. Suna tune? Tu bas ghumne ja raha hain wahan!" Devika looks at him, she's astonished to hear Vineet's words.
A fear bubbles in her heart as she looks at Vineet who is smiling at her. She doesn't want to go back to the country which snatched her husband from her. But, she's unable to deny her son. He is so much intrigued by the country where he belongs and just visiting it is no harm, right? She turns towards Vineet and cups his face.
"Dekh Vineet, main tujhe India jaane de rahi hoon lekin tu wahan pe kuch nahi karega. Hum apne ghar jayenge aur tujhe jahan bhi ghumna hain, ghum lena. Lekin tu kuch bhi galat nahi karega. Main sab samajhti hoon lekin tu wahan sirf ghumne jaa raha hain. Agar tu zidd na karta toh main tujhe kabhi na jaane deti." Devika says, she's emotional.
