"Either way, the army's coming and there aren't enough of us to protect the town." Jasper said, already trying to plan
"Hold up, what damn army?" Jacob asked incredulously
"Newborns. Our kind." Carlisle replied, although he wasn't really listening.
He was thinking about how he could protect his family and the town of Forks against this army.
"What are they after?" Embry asked
"They were passing around Bella's scent. Her red blouse." Alice said mostly to Edward
"They're after Bella? What the hell does this mean?" Jacob asked
"It means an ugly fight with lives lost." Carlisle told his family and the three wolves that were in attendance
"Alright, we're in." Jacob agreed with no hesitation, causing his two friends to look at him.
"No, you'll get yourself killed. No way!" Bella denied
"I wasn't asking for permission." Jacob scoffed
"Edward." Bella whines, trying to get her mate on her side.
"It means more protection for you." Edward said, agreeing with his rival
"Jacob, do you believe Sam would agree to an understanding?" Carlisle asked
Having the wolves would help, but would it be enough?
'Maybe he should call the Denial coven?' Carlisle shook that thought away. With the wolves helping, Irina wouldn't, meaning neither would the entire coven.
'Maybe...' Carlisle thought of one of the first people he met when he had been turned. She might help.
"As long as we get to kill some vampires." Jacob said nodding
"Jasper?" Carlisle asked
"They'll give us the numbers. The newborns won't know they even exist. It'll give us an edge." Jasper said, nodding and adding the wolves into his battle plans.
"We'll need to coordinate." Carlisle said to the newest member of the coven
"Carlisle, they're gonna get hurt." Bella whined
"We'll all need some training. Fighting newborns requires knowledge that Jasper has. You're welcome to join us." Carlisle replied back to the wolf
"Right, name the time and place." Jacob said as the wolves got ready to take their leave to go talk to their alpha.
"I need to make a call." Carlisle said as he exited the room and went to his soundproof office.
He pulled out his phone and dialled the number that he had for his friend, hoping it hadn't changed.
"Hello?" The voice on the other line answered
"Sigrid, it's Carlisle Cullen." He said
"What can I do for you, old friend?" Sigrid asked
"We have a situation. A newborn army of my kind is after my son's mate. Would you mind helping us out?" Carlisle asked hoping the answer was yes.
Sigrid hummed, "You're in Forks, correct?"
Carlisle nodded even though Sigrid couldn't see him. "Yes. The army will be here in four days. My family is doing some training in the days before."
"Alright then. I'm not with my siblings but I am with a regular vampire of my kind so we'll be there tomorrow." Sigrid said before she hung up.
With Sigrid Mikaelson and her friend coming, the Olympic coven and the Quileute wolves might actually stand a chance.
