On August 28 2022 was announced that BLACKPINK's Nina grandma has passed away after battling breast cancer for six years. Many fans are sending Nina love and support to her family in this very hard time. After this YG made a statement about the situation by releasing this statement
"Hello. This is YG Entertainment. We will start off by saying our condolences to Nina and her family in this very difficult time. We had plans to have Nina set out of BLACKPINK's upcoming schedule but Nina has shared with us that she wants continue with BLACKPINK'S upcoming schedules in New York and once she warps with the schedules she will fly to London to be with her family and attend the funeral. We hope that you send your warm comfort so that Nina can have a period of mourning with her family.
