Chapter 23: Cedric

Bella's pov-

The wind was strong as everyone was trying to keep their sheets of parchment from flying away. I quickly walk to my next class. The last class of the day. 

Potions-

   I walk into the classroom, quickly walking over to my table, taking my seat next to Mattheo hoping that Professor Snape won't see me walk in this late.

"Glad you finally joined us, Ms. Potter." He says loudly addressing everyone to look back at me. "where you too busy wishing your boyfriend luck before the last task?"

I freeze for a second. Mattheo looks at me just as confused as me, while everyone else decided to do the most annoying thing ever.

"ooooooo" they all said in unison. Who did they think I was dating?!

"um" I say still confused. Yet nervous Theo would think I was cheating on him."boyfriend, sir?"

I ask this so fucking awkward I was embarrassed it even came from my mouth.

"yes," he said, flicking his hair out of his face, "Mr.Diggory, am I correct?"

Everyone looks at me. Big works spreading across their faces. Me and Cedric?!

"um no," I say silently awkwardly chuckling "im not dating anyone at the moment, sir"

"Rubbish!" Everyone yells. What the he'll are they talking about?!

"Silence." He says sinisterly." Im afraid I was mistaken Ms. Potter, My Apologies."

I just smile at him in response. Well at least I don't have to tell him the truth. But he was partially correct. I was talking to Cedric before classes but we're not dating!

We continue class as I keep my eye on the clock. When me and Cedric are supposed to meet outside. I just wanted to wish him luck and I truly hope he wins.

10 more minutes.... Come on! Why is time going so slow?!

5 miniutes....

Then 4...

*bell rings*

I jump out of my seat quickly. I hurry out of the class to the bridge. I see Cedric walking fast over to me. He only has 5 minutes before he has to leave.

"hey!" He says catching his breath.

"please be careful out there Cedric." I say almost begging him.

He rolls his eyes and shakes his head with a smile.

"I'll be fine" he says chuckling," why are you so worried? Dumbledore won't let anything bad happen."

"well I just have a bad feeling about it." I complain "and Dumbledore can't control everything."

He cups my cheek in his hand. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me, okay?"

I give him an unsure look. He raises his eye brow reminding me I never answered.

"fine." I finally give in. An announcement goes off for all the champions to go meet up.

He looks behind him. He looks quickly back at me, he places a small kiss on my cheek, assuring me that everything will be okay.( A/n: it was just a friendly kiss! She is not cheating!)

Pansy comes up from behind me. She grips my shoulders tightly.

"come on!" She says now going to my left side. She grabs my hand dragging me with her as she quickly walks through the corridors."we have to go watch the last task!"

she guides us through a big crowd as we go into a close spot getting a great view. I see Cedric standing there at the start of the maze

Dumbledore stands in the front of all students and beind the champions.

"Earlier today, Proffessor Moody placed the triwizard cup deep within the maze. Only he knows its exact position. Now as Mr.Diggory..." Dumbledore speaks. Everyone cheers interrupting him."And Mr.Potter tied for first position, they will be the first to enter the maze. Followed by Mr.Krum..."

all the Bulgarian students cheer loudly for their champion.

"The first person to touch the cup will be the winner. I've instructed the staff to patrol the perimeter, if at any point a contestant should wish to withdraw from the task, he or she Need only send up red sparks With their wands. Contestants gather around."

He begins talking to the contestants silently.

"Champions, prepare yourselves!" Mad eye moody shouts.

Cedric walks over to me them his father hugging us since we were both extremely nervous.

"on the count of three... Three....ONE!" He shouts.

A cannon goes of as the champions race into the maze disappearing through the bushes. We all watch, hours passing by.

I begin to get worried, 2 hours pass and they are still not out. I get on my tip toes looking for them. Everything is quiet and we don't here any rustling.

Where are they? Suddenly Harry appears carrying somthing. Everyone cheers loudly while I try to get a closer look at what he was carrying. Tears begin to fill my eyes. Pouring down as I fall on my knees.

I begin to cry loudly while everyone realizes he's gone.

Mattheo's Pov-

He's dead. Pretty boy diggoryy is actually dead. Bella.

Where is she?! I look around the crowd looking for ant sign of her. I see her crying on the ground. I quickly rush over to her. So what if I was supposed to pretend to be her enemy? She just lost A friend.

I wrap her in my arms as she does the same. She crys into my chest as everyone watches us. Shit! I for got about all these assholes.

"I thought you hated Bella?" A random Raven claw girl asks.

"She just lost her fucking friend and that's what your worried about?! Someone just died and your worried about us being enemies?!" I yell at the girl.

She looks slightly ashamed. Everyone was crying over him while I began getting Bella to a more open space. I carried her bridal style to a near by bench.

I sat her down rubbing her back assuring her everything was fine.

Next day-

Bella hasn't left her room all day because of Cedric. The only thing I'm hoping is that she will attend the small funeral thing they are having on Thursday.

But overall I hope she recovers and finds a healthy way to cope with things.
