Justin's POV:

"Justin, how the hell am I supposed to relax when my cousin, who's more like a sister, is out there in the fucked world alone?!"

"Melissa," I breathe out, reaching for her.

She takes a few steps back, ignoring my attempt to comfort her.

"Fuck it, I'm gonna find her," she blurts out, grabbing her jacket.

"Melissa, no."

I snatch her jacket out her hand, looking in the corner to see Bella sleeping peacefully.

I remember to lower my volume.

"What the-"

"Are you trying to wake Bella up?!," I harshly whisper.

"Justin, Val could be out there attempting suicide and you want me to just fuckin' sit her and not give a shit?," she whispers.

She reaches for her jacket and I hold it above her, out of reach.

Her facial expression changes. I see anger start to build inside her fragile being.

"Nothing's gonna happen to Valerie. She just needs alone time."

"Justin, I'm still worried. I'm gonna go find her whether you like it or not. Without my jacket."

She walks over and grabs the car keys, before heading out the bedroom door.

I watch her strut down the hallway in a quick, serious manner.

"She's so damn stubborn," I mumble to myself.

I quietly rush downstairs and before she can open the door, I grab her waist and throw her over my shoulder.

"What the fuck?!"

"Shh! Melissa, Bella's sleeping."

She attempts to get out my grip, pounding her fists into my back.

Once I reach our bedroom, I throw her on the bed and hover over her.

I intertwined our fingers and pin her arms against the bed, my body pressed against hers.

"Justin-"

"Melissa, hear me out," I beg.

"Get the fuck off me," she commands.
