Chapter 24

It was the time of the night, the moon was playing hide and seek. It hides behind the sky and then comes out. The cold breeze was playing with the plants and trees and the flowers were dancing. Muskan entered her home and was smiling as she was feeling happy and relieved because Sameer don’t care about people and her meeting also goes well. Muskan was smiling as soon as she looked up, her smile faded and her eyes widened because of shock. She was shockingly looking in a direction.

Muskan: Priyu?

Priya was standing there and was badly injured. The bruises were on her face and neck. The bag falls from Muskan’s shoulder. Muskan ran to Priya and she holds Priya’s shoulders who winced. Muskan looked at the shoulders and then she looked at Priya who squeezed her eyes. Muskan left Priya’s shoulders.

Muskan: Priyu, what is this? How did this happen?

Muskan looked at Priya who cried and hugged Muskan. Muskan was shocked. Muskan hugged Priya and was hell worried for her. Priya was crying badly and Muskan was not able to understand what she do. Muskan closed her eyes to calm her.

Muskan called Priya by closing her eyes: Priya. Priya, listen.

Muskan broke the hug by holding Priya’s shoulder but she did not grip them tightly. Priya winces. Muskan looked at her and she left her arms. Priya holds her left shoulder.

Muskan: Priya, sit.

Muskan carefully holds Priya’s arms and takes her to the couch by giving her support.

Muskan: aunty, first aid box laen jaldi, Kaka, pani laiyega, please.

Muskan takes Priya to the couch and makes Priya sit on the couch but she sits down on her feet. Priya was crying.

Muskan: yeh sab kaise howa? Us Abhay ne kiya hai na?

Priya looked at Muskan who was already looking at her.

Muskan: bol. Usi ne kiya hai na?

Kaka came and Muskan got up. She took the glass from the tray and sat. Muskan made Priya drink water with her hands. Priya was looking at her. Aunty came and she gave the box to Muskan. Muskan opened the box hurriedly and she moist the cotton to clean the wound. Muskan holds Priya’s hand and cleans the wound. Priya winced and took her hand back. Muskan looked at Priya.

Muskan: sorry.

Muskan holds Priya’s hand and she cleaned the wound by blowing it. Muskan cleaned the wounds from her second hand. Muskan touched Priya’s forehead and she was shocked. Muskan checked Priya’s forehead.

Muskan: tujhe to bohat taiz fever hai.

Muskan looked at Priya.

Muskan: chal, doctor ke pass chalte hain.

Priya: nahi medicine lungi to theek ho jaungi.

Muskan gives her a stern look.

Priya: please, mujhe kahin nahi jana.

Muskan felt helpless. She cleaned the wound on Priya’s forehead, elbow, and neck. Muskan looked at Priya.

Muskan: room main chal main teri bandage kar deti hun.

Priya looked at aunty and Kaka. Muskan turned her face and then she looked at Priya. Priya nods. Muskan got up and she helped Priya to get up.

Muskan: aunty, Priya ka dinner niche room main le aaen.

Aunty nods. Muskan took Priya from there.

Muskan makes Priya lay on the bed after doing her bandage and changing her dress. Muskan was looking at Priya. They heard the knock and Muskan goes to open the door. Aunty gave her food. Muskan came back to Priya and she fed Priya after that Muskan gave her medicine and makes Priya sleep. Muskan thinks.
