i think this one is pretty obvious, but still i can't stress enough how important it is to have high quality pictures if you want a nice, professional looking outcome. this is especially important when your faceclaim is very large and prominent on the cover.
Too grainy or blurry pictures with low quality are hell to work with and will look shitty in the end anyways.

soo when looking for resources only use the ones with nice quality. when looking for faceclaims in google or pinterest (model name) photoshoot is always helpful to find high-resolution, good quality pics with good poses, too.

also do use the filters google provides! when using the laptop you can look for different colors, as well as for transparent images (very good for finding pngs) and you can get high quality stuff by setting size to large or selecting HD.

google also has a really good visual search like pinterest (icon bottom left on the pic), really really helpful.

try to use as interesting resources as possible, so pictures where the characters are in movement or cool poses and so on. this makes the cover a lot more dynamic, interesting and exciting to look at!

however there are some tools to fix the quality of pictures, for example you can use remini to make them more high quality or the smudge tool later on to blur out particularly pixelated parts.
