"Ok, I think I'm good" I say putting tape on the last glow in the dark streamers. We decided on glow in the dark, we got a paint streamers black light lamps we've set up everywhere and a disco ball, turns out Lina has more money up her sleeve than we all thought and she had no trouble spending it on Noah.
"I'm good here too" Levi says setting out the glow sticks and neon glasses and other party items on the table
"Ok, final test" Lina says turning the last black light lamp on, she smiles and turns the lights off
"Oh, my, GOD!!" She exclaimed bouncing on her toes at the sight of the house, it looked epic I smile at her and her excitement
"Ok, the DJ is set up there, the mic for karaoke is set up, I think we're good" she says pulling out her phone
"Who you callin?" Levi asks
"Rhys, and his friends, he's going to invite a bunch of people. I'm going to call Clara too, they can invite a bunch of people" she says and turns away Levi looked frustrated, it's understandable I suppose...
She finishes up her phone call and looks back at us
"Y'all want some face paint?" She asks smiling.

It's about an hour later when a few people start to show up, Noah hadn't come back with penny yet, she took him out for the day and it's about eight. They should be back any minute now.
"Ok guys! He's on his way!" She says and shuts All the lights off
The door openes in the pitch black dark
"Why are all the light-" Noah starts to say but the lights flip back on and everybody jumps out, Lina is holding the microphone
"Surprise!!!" She yells into it and smiles at him he's grinning at us and our face paint, the lights switch to the black lights and everything glows
"Holy shit guys, this is awesome" he says wrapping me in a quick hug then moving to Lena.
"Your the birthday boy" I say putting the big plastic crown we found at some party store on his head he rolled his eyes but accepted it
"There should be more people arriving soon" Lena says clicking her phone off.
Lena was right l, there were more people. So many fucking people
They, quite literally just kept coming. And everybody seemed to know us. Noah had developed quite a fan group of girls fawning over him wanting to give him birthday presents that would be given behind closed doors, but most of the time s look from penny drive them off.
Lena had people following her around like puppy dogs. It was strange...
"Hey Nathan what's up" Clara's voice pipes up from behind me I smile at the familiarity of her and turn to smile at her she's holding two cups in her hands she offers me one
"I don't really drink" I say she smiles and nods and hands it to the closest person, who just so happened to be Lena she took it smiling
"Thanks" she says as music changes
"This music kind of sucks" she says after taking a drink, she looks so small in this swarm of people.
"Then go do karaoke, only one dude did and he did tequila" Clara says and Lena perks up
"Oh. My. God! Good idea I'll be back" she says and pushes though the crowd of people draining the rest of the cup as she reaches the DJ and yells to him he smiles and she steps up onto the four yard square box that we've used as a stage she took the microphone and giggled as the into to Starships by Nicki Minaj starts playing.
Saying the crowd goes wild would be an understatement, she laughs now
"Let's go to the beach-each let's go get a wave" she says in a mock voice her hair whipping as she gets into the music I smile at her and Clara is cheering her on beside me. It's clear the drink Clara gave her wast the first she's had tonight because she was now drunkenly singing a rendition of Taylor Swifts Sparks Fly. Complete with hand motions and unbalanced spins
Despite the slight lisp in her voice and her exaggerations on words, mostly the curse words, she actually didn't sound terrible.
She was on her fifth song when she finally finished and got off the stage, she just stopped in the middle of the song and climbed off the stage the music still going. Some blonde guy took up her spot quickly and the crowd was wild again
I watched Lena as she walked though the crowd almost pushing people out of her way to get to the kitchen.
Oh fuck... Oh fuck!
"Fuck" I whisper.
