"Yang? Hey, April called me. She's worried about you... a lot..." Donnie sighed, he stood outside her door.

He wasn't lying, April did call him, she was worried. He was worried to... She usually called him every single day, if she couldn't make it to the lair.

She usually told him what was upsetting her. But now.... it's been a week since they talked.

"Just go away! I'm fine!" She yelled, but Donnie wasn't dumb. He knew that was her 'I don't really want to talk about it' voice.

"Please? You know, you were always there for me. Will you just let me be there for you?"

There was silence, he took that as an answer as he opened the door slowly. She sat on the floor beside her bed with her knees hiding her face. He sighed and sat beside her, "What happened?" He spoke softly.

She only shrugged her shoulders, refusing to speak. "Oh c'mon! Don't leave me hanging!" This scored a snort of laughter to come from her.

"Yang." There was only silence, "Yang~" He nudged her shoulder. "Quit it, D." She laughed slightly. "Uh uh, not until you tell me what happened." Silence hung in the air again

"D?" She suddenly spoke, making him jump, "Yes?" "Am I a bad person? You know, dumb? "Who told you that?!" "People at school." "Well, I think they're not intelligent because you are amazing."

She looked up slightly, her eyes were red and puffy, otherwise they were like emeralds, Donnie loved that. Oh, how he missed those eyes. "Really?" "Uh yes really, you're so smart. You teach me new stuff all the time."

She sniffed, rubbing her eyes taking the tears away, she smiled slightly, "I guess-" "I mean, you got valedictorian last year! A dumb person couldn't pull that off!" Yang sighed, he was rambling again, "D-" "You always know what to do in the lab. It's amazing!" "D, please-"

"And you're so pretty! Your eyes are like emeralds- Did I just say that out loud?!" He immediately shuts his mouth. 'Stupid! She's obviously grieving!'

She doesn't say anything, embarrassed, he turns his head, his face rose in temperature. Silence hung in the air for awhile, then he felt it, something warm was on his hand, causing him to turn his head back, he saw it.

Her hand was on his, her face was turned away. His gaze flickered between her face and their hands, his face covered in aching red blush.

This felt... different than crushing on April. He couldn't quite figure it out. It just felt... different... he would be lying if he said he didn't like it either. "D? Do you really mean that?"

Her voice broke him from his thoughts, he sighed, "Yeah, you know I don't lie...." "Why didn't you say something before?"

"I just... wanted you to stay? I don’t know... I just... don't have the best of luck with.... pretty girls..." His hand curled underneath hers.

She turned her head, smiling softly, her cheeks were red. "Shuddup. You have the best luck."

He chuckled softly, "With you, maybe." They laughed quietly, "Yang?" "Hm?" He tensed as she looked his direction, "Would you like to-? Um, you don't have to. I'm saying to much, aren't I?" He stuttered out.

"D stop talking. I like you too." He was close to squealing out and squeeze her against him, but he kept calm, "Oh cool, cool." She stood up, reaching her hand out to him, "C'mon, I think I've dehydrated myself with all this crying." He smiles lightly, grabbing her hand. She pulled him up and they both set off to her kitchen.

(I just wanted to share this thing I wrote when I was younger. I found it again and thought it was adorable ❤️, anyways I'll describe my 2012 Yang a little later.)
