Minutes had turned into hours by the time Janélle had woken up, she stirred around momentarily before realizing her husband was not by her side.
She shot up from the bed in confusion, her awareness of her surroundings slowly flooding back to her. "This shit is just dragging out," she mumbled, frustrated that although she was reunited with her family she still was not home.
Swinging her feet over the bed she made her way towards the window pulling the curtains to the side seeing it was sometime in the evening before heading toward the bedroom door following the sound of laughter that filled the hallways.
"Hey y'all," Janélle said, seeing them playing a game of UNO.
They turned to face her with smiles on their faces which made her realize how much she missed home, "Good, Nélle is here now y'all can stop cheating," Nate said pointing towards Milan and Daysha with a hand full of cards.
