Welcome to my entry for the #rewindtheclassics22 competition!
A writer travels to visit an old friend on an inhospitable world whose last inhabitants hold onto a sinister secret. If that secret proves true, it could change the shape of life across the galaxies.
This story retells the classic Edgar Allan Poe gothic horror, THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER. I have tried to honor Poe's style and themes while envisioning the story as if it were set 800 years after he wrote the original tale. I hope you will enjoy my take on this classic, and do please take a look at the other contest entries for this competition by searching the #rewindtheclassics22 tag. Thanks!
