The group of seven had nearly arrived to their destination when Mike had a realization.
"Uh, guys? I think I know where it came from..."
Naturally they were ecstatic, knowing that their favorite redhead was awake, and it wasn't just some harsh prank by a rogue adolescent.
They walked into the hospital and sent Dustin and Lucas to see Max. The two quickly arrived, and there she was. Sitting upright in her bed, reading a copy of The Shining that Lucas haf left there.
It was surreal for the boys; their best friend was alive and sitting right in front of them.
"Oh, hey guys! I see you figured it out."
The room was silent for a second, before Max received a group bear hug.

Although she had to stay the hospital for a while, everyone go to see her, and she was mostly caught up on everything that had happened while she was gone. MadMax was back.
