friends

You don't love me
The way I love you
You don't know me
Know the things I wanna do
I wanna know you

I wanna know the movie
That touched your heart and soul
But you forgot it
When it was over

I wanna know what
You put on your toast
Jam, marmalade, butter, avacado?
Do you even like toast?

I wanna know what
Is the first thing you do
When you wake up
I wanna wake up next to you

I wanna know all your fears
So you know
That we can always
Confront them together

I wanna go shopping
With you by my side
I wanna know
What you like to buy

I wanna watch you sleep
In my passenger seat
I'll sing quietly
To pass the time

I want to be with you
When I'm with you
But sometimes you aren't there
And it's so hard not to stare
It's so hard not to care

That you don't care for me
Like I care for you
Want you to know everything about me
Wanna know everything about you
I wanna love you
Till eternity
But instead I'll be
Your friend
I promise I'll always be your friend
